Call of Duty: Warzone

Call of Duty is back! Rally your troops, gear up, and get ready to chase down the baddies. The Call of Duty series has significantly impacted the gaming world and has since been a major success for Activision. Since its inception in 2003, Call of Duty has become one of the world's most popular and influential video game franchises.

Call of Duty: Warzone marks an astounding success for the franchise, and in celebration of its success, mobile gamers will now get their hands on the latest installment, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.

So, what can you expect from this game? Join us as we unpack Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.

What is Call of Duty Warzone Mobile?

Call of Duty

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is hopping on the bandwagon, aiming to mirror the feats of big names like PUBG and Fortnite by bringing that adrenaline-pumping battle royale vibe straight to our smartphones. It's basically our dear old Warzone, just dressed up for the mobile scene.

What's fun to note is that Warzone didn't quite become the town's buzz overnight. But give it a couple of years, and bam, it's almost all we could chat about. So, as a nod to its incredible journey, Activision is gifting us that same beloved gameplay, but this time, right in the palm of our hands.

Alright, gear up for some quick intel on Warzone! This isn't just any battle royale game; it's Call of Duty's second big foray into the royale arena, following the footsteps of Black Ops 4's Blackout mode. But here's the kicker: Instead of the usual scramble for weapons and gear, in Warzone, it's all about the ‘Cash' chase. Who said money can't buy happiness in a virtual shootout?

Story

Call of Duty Warzone; Story

Ideally, most battle royale games lack narratives. It's all about being the last man standing on a shrinking map, and that is precisely what Call of Duty Warzone is. Presumably, the mobile version will retain these elements since it goes by the same name as the console game. Here's what you need to know about Call of Duty Warzone's gameplay.

Imagine soaring in a plane with your sights set on the vast battleground below. As you parachute down to your chosen spot, you're armed with just a basic pistol and two armor plates for protection. Feeling under-geared? Time to scour the landscape. Littered around are essential items – think healing tools, additional armor plates to beef up your defense, and weapons for that essential firepower.

Here's the juicy bit: Want top-tier gear? Keep those eyes peeled for the loadout drops. These coveted crates can appear just about anywhere. But if lady luck isn't on your side and you can't snag a drop, there's a backup plan. Gather enough in-game currency, and you can buy your own loadout. Now, soldier, are you ready to dive into the action?

Gameplay

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile shooting

Call of Duty Warzone Mobile uses the original game as its foundation. Therefore, much of the gameplay is essentially the same. However, Activision has confirmed it as a standalone title, separate from Call of Duty Mobile: Battle Royale.

The game will feature Verdansk, a Warzone map that serves as the primary setting for Ground War and Special Ops operations maps of Modern Warfare. The map also serves as the original battleground for Warzone. A January 18 leak also hinted at the return of the Rebirth Island map.

Players will experience this game from a first-person perspective. Meaning you get to see the game through your character's eyes. This immerses you in the action, granting impeccable precision when aiming and shooting.

Furthermore, 120 players will face each other to be the winner. Each of them is gunning after you. So, always having the right gear is not just a good idea—it's a survival necessity. Stay sharp and keep that backpack loaded. It's a wild world out there. Aside from earning equipment, you also gain kill streaks. The game will also feature a multiplayer mode, which allows you to respawn. This enables new players to practice before heading to the action-packed battleground.

At its inception, the game map is big enough to accommodate players. You can have a 10-minute run without encountering adversaries. However, with time, the circle shrinks. If you're outside the circle, the deadly gas will chip away your health unless you return to the circle on time. This makes the game more competitive since players are hurdled in a smaller area together.

Moreover, Warzone Mobile will feature cross-progression with Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2. This feature will enhance connectivity between the two titles, giving players a unified Call of Duty experience. Plus, you'll be able to carry over your battle pass progress. So you can earn XP or unlock tokens from your phone or console.
