Best Crafting Games on Switch

It is not always the action or narrative of a game that makes it enjoyable, but rather the components of its gameplay. Crafting-based games, for example, tend to be quite addictive. From grinding for resources to finally seeing your creation finished, it's a very rewarding feeling that you may be looking for more of. That's why we've compiled this list of the best crafting games on Nintendo Switch. If you're ready to let your creative juices flow, these games will allow you to do just that.

5. LEGO 2K Drive

LEGO 2K Drive - Official Launch Trailer

LEGO 2K Drive may not be the first game that comes to mind when thinking of the best crafting games for the Nintendo Switch. It does, however, have one essential crafting component that may entice many car enthusiasts to try it out. That is, in LEGO 2K Drive, you can virtually build any car you want using virtual LEGO bricks. With over 1,000 unique LEGO pieces at your disposal, you can construct anything from a barbie themed-FIAT to a supervillain-influenced supercar and even a monstrous-looking monster truck.

The best part is that you not only get to drive the cars you build, but you also get to smash them into a million tiny LEGO pieces. Because, for some strange reason, it's entertaining to watch us destroy our beautiful creations, such as ripping a puzzle off a table after completing it. Fortunately, in LEGO 2K Drive, you don't have to rebuild your car from the ground up; it simply respawns. Nonetheless, if you like cars, LEGO 2K Drive is one of the best car-based crafting games on Switch.

Stardew Valley - Trailer (Nintendo Switch)

Stardew Valley is a critically acclaimed farming sim and RPG in which you inherit your grandfather's farm. Using a bunch of hand-me-down tools and a pocket full of coins, you're left to pick up the scraps and make something out of it. As you might expect, if you want to be successful, you'll have to get your hands dirty. That's right, we mean by crafting. Because Stardew Valley is a crafting game just as much as it is a farming sim and RPG.

From crafting a loom for clothing to making a bee house so you can harvest honey, there are a ton of artisan machines you'll need to learn how to craft. If you plan on doing a lot of mining, you'll undoubtedly require a Furnace, Tapper, and Charcoal Kiln, all of which you must make yourself. The same is true for food, crops, and upgrading your home and furniture. Thusly, Stardew Valley's gameplay directly revolves around crafting, and evidently why we consider it one of the best crafting games on Switch. However, there are also a million other reasons to love this game, so we highly recommend trying it out.
