4. Cuphead

Cuphead is a phenomenal platformer that harkens back to games of old. The game, inspired by early animations, has a unique aesthetic all its own. This game does not only get by on good looks, but the gameplay for Cuphead also is excellent, and one of the main reasons players still play the game to this day. The game begins with the player character Cuphead making a deal with the Devil after gambling at a casino. This begins the hero's journey to gather soul contracts for the Devil to say Cuphead and his brother Mugman's souls.

The gameplay of Cuphead is also nostalgic in its presentation, with the game playing like a challenging platformer of old with little to no hand-holding. The difficulty in the game is certainly not for the faint of heart, which makes it all the more enjoyable to tackle with a friend. Having a friend makes the game slightly more manageable, but it is still not a title to be taken lightly. The level design within the game is also gorgeous, with hand-drawn backgrounds to enjoy. All in all, Cuphead is a gem of a game and should be enjoyed with friends.
