With the advancement in technology, games can be developed at a much higher graphical fidelity. Games that use Unreal Engine 5 make great use of the engine to make some of the most visually-stunning experiences. Everything from the wide landscapes, and immense draw distances to more subtle details such as micro terrain and much more, have been improved. This will surely go a long way toward aiding these virtual worlds in feeling more real than ever. So without further ado, here is Unreal Engine 5: 5 Upcoming Games You'll Want to Play.

5. State of Decay 3

Starting off our list of upcoming games that utilize Unreal Engine 5, we have State of Decay 3. Now, the State of Decay series is one that no one would ever accuse of graphically lacking. However, with the use of Unreal Engine 5State of Decay 3 looks to supplant its predecessors in terms of graphical fidelity. This is really exciting to see, as it means that not only will environments appear more fleshed out and full. But also that, character models will be depicted with much more realism.

This is great, as it shows that as far as the technical aspects of the game go, this entry will be excellent. Players will be able to team up with friends in up to four-person co-op sessions. This is great and really adds some variety to the gameplay as well as teamwork-oriented content. This game appears to certainly push the Xbox Series X|S to its limits and also makes excellent use of Unreal Engine 5. For these reasons, we are highly anticipating the release of State of Decay 3. In no small part due to it being one of the most promising Unreal Engine 5 games on the horizon.

4. Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2

Now, switching things up a bit, we have Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2. NBow, this game has a .ot to live up to, given the success of its well-received predecessor. With the first game's success. It appears that the studio at Ninja Theory is pouring its resources into making the sequel as graphically and auditorially impressive as possible. This is partly due to the upgrade to Unreal Engine 5. This change allows the developers to create worlds of extraordinary fidelity and scale.

In the most recent trailer for the game, it was shown off at Summer Games Fest 2023. Here we see many impressive things graphically. For example, at one point in the trailer, the game's world starts to make mirrors of itself that are constantly shifting. A keen eye will show you that the reflections shown in these pieces of mirrors are all slightly different. So rendering all of these at once is really impressive from a graphical standpoint. This makes attention to detail, and focus makes Senua's Saga: Hellbalde 2 one of the most exciting upcoming Unreal Engine 5 games.

3. S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: Heart of Chernobyl

For our next entry, we have a title that has a resurging fanbase. The Stalker series has always been popular within its niche market on PC. However, with this next entry into the series, they appear to be blowing all of the expectations out of the water. This is a game that is going to focus heavily on the game's core survival mechanics while also delivering one of the most visually stunning FPS experiences on the market currently. This is wonderful and is sure to bode well for the game moving forward.

For those unaware, the Stalker community has seen somewhat of a resurgence through the use of its modding community to make older games glisten and shine. However, with Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl, it is on an entirely different level. Both in terms of graphical power displayed, as well as the general performance of the game itself. So if you are someone who enjoys the survival title and hasn't gotten into the Stalker series, this is a great chance to do so. To close, Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl appears to be one of the premier Unreal Engine 5 games for players to have in their libraries.

2. Ark 2

For our next entry of Unreal Engine 5 games we can't wait to play, we have Ark 2. Now, Ark 2, for those who are unaware, is the sequel to Ark: Survival Evolved. This is a game that places players in the role of survivors in an incredibly hostile environment. One full of dinosaurs and hostile humans. In Ark 2, however, the scale seems to be increased significantly, and what is perhaps Ark's greatest problem is solved, that being the combat. The combat for Ark 2 appears leaps and bounds beyond its predecessor.

That is hardly the only thing to praise about this title, though. Its environments are wonderfully created and feature a lot of foliage density and other aspects that make it far and away better than the first title. Through the power of Unreal Engine 5, this is made possible, and players will be able to enjoy the game in a whole new way. The combat animations are also buttery smooth—a far cry from the combat animations in the first game, which often could be clunky. So if you are looking for a game to check out soon, Ark 2 is a great pick.

1. Ashes of Creation

For our final entry, we have a title that has been touted as the savior of its genre. Within the MMORPG space, there have been plenty of attempts to create the “perfect MMO.” And it appears as though Ashes of Creation, by many estimations, has come the closest any other title has in recent memory. This has led many fans to support the game, which utilizes Unreal Engine 5. It does this wonderfully, with even the alpha footage of magical combat appearing to be very technically impressive.

That is hardly where this game stops, however. As Ashes of Creation systematically is one of the boldest MMORPGs ever conceived. All of the game's systems hope to intertwine with each other and perform in unison with one another. However, the scale at which it does this is something that, for the most part, hasn't been replicated yet. These things combine to make Ashes of Creation one of the most exciting titles in years. And that is why we consider it one of the most anticipated Unreal Engine 5 games.
