Gotham Knights Will not have Crossplay or Local Co-op and Microtransactions
After dropping Gotham Knights Nighthawk and Red Hood gameplayer trailer, W.B. Games have confirmed that the Gotham Knight won't have microtransactions, crossplay or local co-op.
According to Gothams Knights' official site FAQ section, which recently received an update, Warner Bros. Games confirm that the game will not support crossplay. So players won't have the chance to play across different consoles. The developers also said that the game wouldn't be available for older consoles, including the PS4 anD Xbox One.
Although the developers don't explain why, they state it, “to provide players with the best possible gameplay experience.” We can't argue with that, can we?
W.B. games also confirmed that the game would also not have a local co-op on release. However, players can play the game solo offline or two-player online co-op through an internet connection. In the update, it's also evident that the developers may be looking to bring the crossplay multiplayer mode in future.
Following this and the new addition of in-game characters, Nighthawk, Redhood, Robbin, and Batgirl, we can predict that the game will add a multiplayer option of up to 4 players.
To gamers delight though, W.B. Games also confirm that the game will not affect future any microtransactions. So do not expect to see any in-game purchases.
Gotham Knights Release Date
After its previous delay, Warner Bros. Games Montreal have announced that Gotham Knights will be available on October 25, 2022. However, you can pre-order the game for $69.99 for the Standard Edition and $89.99 for the Deluxe Edition.
