Best Trickster Build in Disney Speedstorm

 on

If hurling bombs and hacking bots at unfortunate racers in Disney Speedstorm is your forte, then you’ll definitely want to consider onboarding a Trickster as your staple character the next time you boot up the latest racing chapter. Sure enough, the Trickster class is one of the best in the entire game, and not to mention the only class that can rival the likes of the Brawler with all of the same tools, stats, and abilities, thereby making it a perfect candidate for most, if not all occasions.

Introductory words out in the open, what more do you need to know about the Trickster, and more importantly, what do you need to do to acquire that perfect build for it? Well, if you have just started out in the newest racing entrythen look no further. Need a few quick pointers? Here’s how to obtain the best Trickster build in Disney Speedstorm.

Introduction

Defenders are a perfect class choice for those looking to take full advantage of power-ups including Bomb and Hack—two offensive weapons that have the raw power to not only stun other characters on the track, but reverse their controls and cause mass confusion, too. Sure enough, the common Defender thrives best when in situations that involve clustered vehicles and tight-knit areas, mainly down to the fact that they’re able to target thrice as many competitors and use the chaos as a smokescreen to pull ahead.

At present, there are a total of nine Tricksters in Disney Speedstorm: Aladdin, Jack Sparrow, Angel, Bo Beep, Figment, Meg, Mulan, Hades, and Randall. To start, you’ll only have access to the one Trickster, which is none other than Mulan, a well-balanced character who comes with a plateau of stat boosts, namely Boost and Handling. For what it’s worth, the average Trickster also has relatively high

Of course, a Trickster is nothing without a worthy squad to pull the lion’s share of the weight from the sidelines. On that note, you’ll want to work towards unlocking your first batch of Crew Members, who’ll have the tools needed to give your stats a well-needed overhaul. Question is, who is actually worth pouring the time and effort into unlocking for your team?

Crew Members

When it comes to adding valuable Crew Members to your active roster, you’re going to want to source Rare chips, as they’ll not only boost the one stat, but two. And while the ultimate goal, really, is to work towards recruiting an Epic Crew Member, who’ll not only boost all of your stats, but offer you exclusive access to your Unique Skill, you’ll find that the Rare teammates are more than enough to keep you claiming consecutive wins left, right, and center.

As far as Tricksters go, you’ll notice that their highest stats tend to gravitate towards both Boost and Handling. What this also means is that other areas, namely Top Speed and Combat, are relatively low when stacked up against one another. Not to fret, though, as a squad of quality Crew Members will see that character of yours up to scratch in no time.

To hire an entire team of four Crew Members, you’ll first need to raise your character to Star Level 5, after which you’ll have the option to onboard several chips at the same time. Once the nodes become available, you’ll want to keep an eye out for any of the following Crew Members for your team:

  • Cogsworth — Top-Speed & Combat
  • Phil — Top-Speed & Combat
  • Humphrey the Bear — Acceleration & Combat
  • Yao, Ling & Chien Po — Handling & Combat
  • James Norrington — Top-Speed & Combat
  • King Louie — Combat & Boost
  • Henry J. Waternoose — Top-Speed & Combat
  • SMRT-1 — Top-Speed & Handling
  • Rex — Top-Speed & Combat
  • Ice Cream Man — Top-Speed & Combat
  • Melon Merchant — Top-Speed & Combat

Racing Tips

Granted, Tricksters aren’t all that great at defending the fort when subjected to a series of oncoming projectiles. That said, the class type does make up for its lack of thick skin in other areas, such as having a lengthier Boost than other classes, or having access to a wider ranger of combat-focused tools, such as Bomb or Hack. So, while the average Trickster won’t reach the same standards as, for example, a well-rounded Speedster, they will sit on par with a fleshed-out Brawler or Defender.

Again, a Trickster is far better suited for situations that involve direct confrontation with multiple targets, as the abilities they can utilize on a frequent basis can impact several racers in one turn. If you can help it, aim to save your skills and power-ups for moments that involve clustered targets; the more racers you damage, the easier it’ll be to drag ahead and leave the competition behind in your wake.

For the sake of maxing out on your Boost ability, you’ll also want to hit as many speed and drift pads as possible. Also, thanks to your advanced Handling capabilities, you’ll also be able to trigger smoother drift chains—a skill that happens to go hand in hand with the Boost ability. So, while confrontation is often expected as a Trickster, you’ll still want to hit all the boost and drift pads and keep your speed up at all times. In other words, don’t let up on the throttle.

Unique Skill

Like every class type in Disney Speedstorm, Defenders have exclusive access to a particular Unique Skill—a passive ability that can single-handedly turn the tide at any given moment if used correctly. The only downside to having said Unique Skill strapped to your character of choice is that you’ll need increase their Star Level to boost the overall effectiveness. Once that fifth Star Level has been activated, however, you’ll not only have access to the highest tier of said Unique Skill, but also Epic Crew Members, who’ll let you use the ability more effectively and frequently.
