The new map is called Stranded, and it depicts a drained lake in Panama. The main attraction is a beached container ship housing an illegal arms trading center, which teams will fight in close-quarters combat for control of.

Charlie Crawford is the newest addition to Battlefield 2042 in Season 2. He's a medic who can revive players and replenish their supplies. What makes him more appealing is his Mounted Vulcan minigun. It's a stationary minigun with a high fire rate and can be controlled by anyone on the battlefield.

Season 2 of Battlefield 2042 will include three new weapons. The first is the AM40, a powerful hybrid of an assault rifle and a submachine gun. Secondly, is the Avancys, a high-tech but mobile LMG. Finally, there's the PF51, a smaller submachine gun that appears to be effective in the tight quarters of the beached ship. We're also seeing the concussion grenade added, which works like a flashbang to temporarily blind and confuse enemies.

Assignments will be a new feature coming with Season 2. Completing assignments will unlock previously available Vault Weapons in Battlefield Portal, such as the M60E3 and M16A3, among notable others from previous games. In terms of vehicles, the Polaris RZR will be a new weaponless off-road buggy. And the EBLC-RAM, a new heavy-armed four-seater vehicle.
