Gears 5 retains the series' classic recipe, throwing in a bunch of new faces teaming up with old faces to face a new threat. The game’s campaign mode opens up with new mechanics, which are the first in the series. The game also features an open world with new enemies and a weapon inventory to push back the swarm. Beyond this, the game features a 3-player co-op mode called Escape. Team Scorpio and the Hivebuster have to navigate through a fatal gas bomb while fighting Swarm and Locust enemies.
