Ubisoft will Reportedly Reveal Skull & Bones Next Month Again

After a long wait, it appears that Ubisoft is getting set to reveal Skull & Bones again next month.

According to a report by Tom Henderson on Try Hard Guides, Ubisoft plans to show off Skull & Bones again during the week of July 4. Henderson claims that Ubisoft will announce the release date and finally show off some game play footage and other details at the re-reveal. According to Henderson, the game will also be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox One X, and Google's Stadia.

We have not heard much details about the game since Ubisoft first announced the game during E3 of 2017. The publisher scheduled the release for the end of 2018, but there were several delays after the announcement.

Possible clues that the game is nearing completion have emerged during the last few months. The Australian Classification Board has now released a new rating that gives legitimacy to this theory. The rating does not indicate the release date. However, the game's production year is 2022, implying a possible release date in the next six months.

In April, it was alleged that internal play testing for Skull and Bones had begun. A six-minute video leaked online gave a taste of what players may expect by showcasing some gameplay.

Ubisoft has postponed the game's release several times. The publisher postponed the release to 2019, March 2020, and the fiscal year ending in March 2022. As recently as last month, Ubisoft said that the long-delayed game would launch in the second half of its current fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2023. Additionally, Ubisoft just announced that the game is now “multiplayer first.”

Reports about the alleged re-reveal next month are only speculations at this point. However, Ubisoft might use this occasion to clarify the confusion around this long-delayed title.
