The Callisto Protocol: Hidden Achievements Guide

Updated on

Glen Schofield, co-director of the original Dead Space, surprised many when he announced he was branching out on his own and collaborating with publishers, Krafton to create his own sci-fi horror game called, The Callisto Protocol. The excitement was palpable, and when the game finally arrived on December 2, 2022, it lived up to gamers' expectations in terms of scare factor, rawness, and difficulty. After all, it's what the fanbase was hoping for. So much so that it compelled some true die-hard fans to finish the game through to completion. That means checking off all of The Callisto Protocol's hidden or secret achievements.

All Hidden Achievements in The Callisto Protocol:

The Callisto Protocol's base game has a total of 26 achievements. Half of these achievements are granted to every player as they progress through the story, but the remaining 13 are classified as secret or hidden achievements because they require specific actions or steps to be accomplished. Nonetheless, here are all of the hidden achievements, as well as instructions on how to complete them. We've also divided them into three categories: difficulty, simplicity, and one that requires more explanation.

3. Rather Simple or Straight-forward To Complete

Hidden Achievements

  • You Need A Gun

To complete this achievement, you need to pick one gun (preferably your favorite) and fully upgrade it. Sounds simple, but sure enough this hidden achievement will most likely take you near the end of the game to complete.

  • Get a Grip

For this achievement, you need to grab twenty-five Biophages with the GRP. It's already an endlessly entertaining instrument to use, and you'll most likely passively complete it as you progress through the game.

  • In Striking Distance

Here you'll need to kill an enemy via a GRP and melee combo. Now, this isn't some special mechanic but rather as simple as it's put. To earn the trophy, weaken an enemy until he's close to one shot, then use your GRP to throw them against a wall and deliver the killing blow with your melee weapon.

  • Mugshot

For us gamers that keep a folder of screenshots of each game we play, this hidden achievement is second nature. All you have to do is take a photo in Photo Mode.

  • Float Like A Butterfly

To complete the “Float Like A Butterfly” hidden achievement, you must channel your inner Muhammed Ali and perform a perfect dodge five times. This does not have to be in a row, but it pays off to master the dodging mechanic since it's a necessity when it comes to killing enemies and bosses.

  • Flesh Wound

We knew we were signing up for gore in The Callisto Protocol, so what better way than to have an achievement that rewards you in this manner? To get this trophy, you must use a melee or ranged weapon to take off both arms of a living enemy. We suggest the ladder, as it's much easier.

  • Workplace Hazard

Nothing beats getting creative and using your environment to deal with enemies, which is precisely the goal here. To earn this achievement, you must use your GRP to kill ten Biophages by throwing them into environmental hazards. Fans or spikes are the easiest for this. The good news is you can knock out two hidden achievements while chipping away at this one.

  • Chew Em' Up

As you complete “Workplace Hazard,” you'll also work towards the “Chew Em' Up” hidden achievement. As for this trophy, you need to kill ten enemies with environmental hazards. So, just a tad less specific, but nonetheless throwing Biophages into harm's way still counts towards it. As a result, the GRP, fan/spike combo applies for this one as well. However, throwing Biophages into explosive canisters, or vice versa, also works.

  • Terminated

To complete this achievement you need to take down a Security Robot. If you've come across these guys already, you'll know that's no easy task. Nonetheless, if you want to 100% the game, you'll have to dive head-first into this challenge.

2. This Achievement Needs Some Explaining

Hidden Achievements

  • The Commonality

To complete “The Commonality” you need to discover the game's two secret areas. One is in Chapter 3 and the other is in Chapter 6. Furthermore, in these rooms is certain data you need to obtain for the achievement to be rewarded. These pieces of data are Data-Bios 7 and Data-Bios 31. Getting to these secret rooms is very confusing, after all, they're meant to be hard to find. That's why we recommend following a Youtube tutorial step-by-step on how to reach them.

1. These Are Going To Be A Grind

Hidden Achievements

  • The Protocol is About Life

Hands down, this is the hardest of all hidden achievements in the game to complete. For “The Protocol is About Life” you need to complete the game on “Maximum Security” difficulty – that is the hardest difficulty setting. So, best of luck out there, as we know you'll need it.

  • I Do Belong Here

You earn the, “I Do Belong Here” hidden achievement by beating the game on any difficulty. Though that's still not easy, it's more obtainable than “The Protocol is About Life”.

  • Grim Reaper

This secret achievement is a bit of a slow grind. To complete it you need to harvest and read all the Implant Bios. There are a total of 43 three scattered throughout the game with some being very well hidden. That's why we also suggest you refer to a Youtube guide on where to find each one. As you could be running around in circles and pulling your hair out trying to do it yourself.
