PS5 Controller-driven Car

As yet something that feels like a dream come true to gamers, Sony unveils the possibility of driving a car using a controller. No, this is not just another toy or children's car in the making. In fact, Sony has a full Honda model that is driven using a PS5 controller.

Under a duo created in 2021 called Sony Honda Mobility, the birth of its first electric car has been revealed. The team has named the car mode ‘AFEELA,' and plans to release it by 2025. This seems to give us some time to jump into the PS5 sales so as not to leave all the fun to the current console owners, right?

Gamers and non-gamers alike are flocking social media, hyping this epic creation. According to the company's COO, Izumi Kawanishi, they are planning to extend this innovation in the near future by developing a fully self-driven car.

Sony Honda Mobility revealed this information during a showcase on Monday. Kawanishi showcased the car model and even drove the car using a PS5 Dual Sense Controller. Although it was driven for a short time and distance, the demo shows the car moving smoothly, with better mechanics than some games offer; no names are mentioned.

However, Kawanishi stresses that the illustration was simply a tech demo. Normal drivers might therefore not get a chance to cruise on this adventure. In fact, some players think that this could be another marketing strategy for an upcoming game. This follows remarks by the franchise's COO about a partnership between his company and Polyphony Digital, the Gran Turismo developer. He added that this merger will lead to the development of a new car. Unknown to all of us is whether this car will be physical or virtual.

So, what are your thoughts? Do you think Sony Honda Mobility will give us a truly PS5 controller-driven car? Let us know in the comment section below or over on our socials here.
