PlayStation VR2

Sony has officially revealed the launch date and pricing details for the PlayStation VR2. PSVR2 is Sony's new virtual reality headset designed exclusively for PS5.

The PSVR2 headset will launch on February 22, 2023. The headset will cost $549.99. The virtual reality headset will come with Sense controllers and a pair of stereo headphones. But for $49.99, you can buy a PSVR 2 Sense controller charging station that can be used with the controllers. The charging station lets you charge your controllers without plugging them into your PS5. A more expensive bundle will include Horizon: Call of the Mountain, PSVR2’s launch title. The bundle will cost $600. This means the total cost of the PlayStation VR2, a game, and its dock is $650.

Because of this, the PlayStation VR2 costs more than the PlayStation 5 console. The PS5 now costs $499.99 due to a nearly global price rise. You'll need a PlayStation 5 console to get started with Sony's next-generation virtual reality experience. Therefore, if you do not own a PS5, Sony's VR experience will set you back roughly $1000 before taxes and additional add-ons.

The PlayStation VR 2 headset is a significant improvement over the original. Thanks to its OLED display, 110-degree field of view, and support for 4K high dynamic range (HDR), The headset will offer better frame rates and gameplay refresh rates of up to 120 Hz. The VR headset's front display features four in-built cameras. Therefore, you will not need to set up separate cameras to track your movements.

PlayStation VR2 Pre Order

Pre-Orders will be open from November 15. Pre-orders are only available through the official PlayStation Store for those in the US, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. From today, November 2, you can sign up for a preorder. Later this month, you'll be able to preorder video games like Horizon: Call of the Mountain.
