Poppy Playtime Is Coming to PlayStation & Switch

Mob Entertainment’s universally acclaimed plush-centric survival-horror debut Poppy Playtime Chapter 1: A Tight Squeeze is due to arrive on PlayStation and Switch this December.

That’s right — Huggy Wuggy and pals are just about ready to shed their exclusivity in the PC domain and port their ways over to the console market. And while we can’t say for certain whether or not it’ll be coming to Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S, we can say that it’ll be making its formal debut on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. So that’s a start.

“Playtime Co. was once the king of the toy manufacturing industry…until everybody inside of the factory one day disappeared into thin air,” an excerpt from the blurb reads. “Now, years later, you must explore the abandoned factory and uncover the truth.”

Since making its debut back in 2021, Poppy Playtime has become something of a cult favorite amongst fans of the survival-horror genre, with the IP spanning several chapters, as well as an entire outlet of merchandise and spin-offs. So, if you’ve yet to traipse those waters and have a good old rummage around in the tainted corridors of the seemingly abandoned toy factory, then now’s your chance to see what all the fuss is about.

Poppy Playtime Chapter 1: A Tight Squeeze will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on December 20, 2023, and to Nintendo Switch on December 25, 2023. For more updates on the game’s console debut, be sure to check in with the folks over at Mob Entertainment for all the latest news.

So, what’s your take? Will you be picking up a copy of Poppy Playtime when it arrives on consoles later this month? Let us know your thoughts over on our socials here.
