Sengoku Dynasty Review

The highly anticipated farming update for Sengoku Dynasty is now live on PC. Developer Superkami and publisher Toplitz Productions have announced that the first significant content drop for the game is live, and players can experience it.

The Farming Update introduces many new features, including farming, a new village, and a compost station. Players can now grow and harvest produce, such as millet, garlic, leeks, parsley, wasabi, turnips, and even rice.

Players can now experience Aratani, a new farming village situated in the southern region of the Sengoku Dynasty's vast map. Here, players can interact with farming traders to replenish their resources and embark on a series of new quests.

Players can now utilize new tools and the compost station. Moreover, developer Superkami has listened to community feedback and addressed one of the most requested features, “regrowth.” This feature allows the rejuvenation of deforested or excessively harvested resources, including depleted mining deposits, reducing the impact of aggressive resource gathering on the game world. In addition, players can now express themselves and greet fellow farmers in co-op mode with a polite bow. The new update also features 12 new emotes.

Jan Cieślar, CEO of Superkami, highlighted the importance of agriculture in medieval Japan and expressed his pleasure in introducing this much-anticipated feature to the game.

“Agriculture was both a crucial activity in medieval Japan and one of the most often requested features by our players. We're pleased to introduce it in our first major content update, which also includes a substantial performance boost for the entire game. We look forward to sharing more about our future plans soon.” said Cieślar.

Sengoku Dynasty is a multi-genre open-world RPG, city builder, life simulation, and survival game that launched on August 10, 2023, via Steam.
