After battling with cancer, James McCaffrey, the actor famously known in the gaming franchise for voicing Max Payne, passes away at age 65. The actor had been battling multiple myeloma, a cancer that affects the bone marrow. McCaffrey kicked the bucket on Sunday, December 17, 2023, with friends and family around him.

In the gaming world, James McCaffrey won our hearts through his re-enactment in the Max Payne game trilogy. In addition to this impeccable appearance, the actor has also gotten involved with other various projects in the gaming world. The actor played in Tom Clancy's 2001 shooter game Ghost Recon as Agent Thomas Rogan.
In his remembrance, he will be recalled for other appearances, including in Quantum Break and Call of Duty: Black Ops. His most recent epic talent display was in Alan Wake 2 as Alex Casey.
