8. Sir Livingstone’s Pistol

Although you may be wondering why an old M1911 pistol would be in your Starfield weapon arsenal, there is a good reason for it. If you select the Kid Stuff trait when creating your character, you will receive this pistol as a gift from your father to begin your game. So, not only does it have sentimental value, but it's also one of the best weapons in Starfields early and mid-game. The pistol itself holds 15 rounds and has a 67 overall fire rate, as well as can be equipped with up to four mods to help you take it to the next level.

7. The Elegance

If you don't want to give up a trait to acquire a pistol, or want something a bit more fitting to your environment, consider the Elegance. Yet another pistol, but this one is unlike any other in the game. This is not only a rapid-fire pistol, but it can also be outfitted with a scope, suppressor, and other mods to make it your personal sidekick. 6. The Grendal

Okay, let's move on from pistols to SMGs with the Grendal. This space SMG is easy to obtain as a drop from Pirates and Spacers early in the game, which also means you'll be finding ammo for it constantly. The fact that it's one of the game's early guns may turn you off, but that doesn't mean it's not one of the best weapons in Starfield.

There are a ton of different stat/modification rolls for this gun that turn it into a beast of a weapon. Some of which can shred through the game's tougher adversaries. Thankfully, Bethesda was kind enough to add the “Old Earth Shotgun” into Starfield. Although it only holds six rounds in its chamber, its firepower is enough to level enemies in one to two shots. On top of that, can chip down a chunkier boss with ease. In our eyes, it's not only one of the best weapons in Starfield, it's the only shotgun you need.

4. UC Naval Cutlass

There aren't as many melee weapons as there are ranged weapons in Starfield. Nonetheless, there are still a few options. Furthermore, every player will eventually acquire a melee weapon. If that's the case, the UC Naval Cutlass is one of the best and easiest melee weapons to get your hands on in Starfield. This weapon is typically obtained as a drop from Spacers. It has a base damage of 20 per swing and can be swung fast to quickly stack the damage.

As a result, it's ideal for slicing down enemies with low health or just rushing them if that's your style of play. You can also get some Legendary Rolls for it and mod it yourself to make it even deadlier.

2. Beowulf

Because of its semi-automatic fire mode, Beowulf is more of a hybrid than a true assault rifle or sniper. Nonetheless, not every player prefers the spray-and-pray type playstyle; others prefer the classic one-tap rifles that will never fail you so long your aim doesn't. If that's your case, Beowulf might be one of the best weapons in Starfield for you. Find one with some Legendary Rolls and then you're really talking.
