Sometimes, video game franchises come up with some cool merch like backpacks, t-shirts, hoodies, and even cookbooks. And loyal fans do shell out money for all the merch. Pokemon is no stranger to official merch. And now, the franchise is rolling out Pokemon-inspired nail polish.

uka, a Japanese brand, has unveiled six Pokemon nail lacquer shades. Interestingly, the range has three brighter shades for kids and three pastel shades for adults. But of course, depending on the user's taste, everyone can apply everything.

The shades are named after Pokemon, so fans can get them in Meowth, Eevee, Piplup, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Scorbunny. Meowth is a beige hue, Eevee is tan, Piplup is pale blue, Pikachu is golden yellow, Jigglypuff is hot blush pink, and Scorbunny is a vivid orange. Of course, the last three shades, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Scorbunny are meant for kids. They're vegan and can be easily washed off with hot water.

The packaging of the nail paint bottle is simple and minimalistic. The bottles are white with a solid outline of the Pokemon on the front. As cute as they look, they come with a price tag of $22 per bottle.

Interestingly, video game-inspired nail lacquer is not unheard of. In fact, recently Halo and Forza partnered up with a nail polish brand to release nail lacquer. With the nail polish, players could unlock some in-game items

Over all these years, Pokemon has gotten every kind of merchandise that is out there. From plush toys to keychains and backpacks, you can get everything Pokemon. As Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is on its way later this year, we'll get to see more merch popping up in the market. With these nail paint shades, it'd be interesting to see if they're hit or a miss.
