May 2018 showcased the explosive trailer of the Russian sci-fi, action/RPG (Role-playing game), “Atomic Heart.” While there is still not yet an official release date for “Atomic Heart,” so far it is set for 2021, and one day we will be able to play the game on “Xbox Game Pass. This game is an alternate reality Soviet-era first-person combat game with plenty of ruthless robots to destroy.

There are torture chambers and the repulsive sight of “Baba” Zina (a grandma) in “Facility 3826,” trapped in a flowing molecular gloob. Now, you can think of the gloob being any type of filthy substance you want, but the cinematic trailer is showing us how it is separate from others. “Atomic Heart” will be on the following platforms: “Xbox One,” “Xbox Series X/S,” “Microsoft Windows,” “PS4 (PlayStation 4),” and “PS5 (PlayStation 5).

The Story:

The CEO of “Mundfish,” Robert Bagratuni, told “IGN” that “Atomic Heart” is an alternative reality to the Soviet Union or an alternative past. The game is about everything in the ‘30s and ‘60s that could have happened but did not take place in the USSR. Robert said, “The storyline takes place in reality where the USSR still exists, but a technical revolution has already taken place: robots, the internet, holograms have already been invented … all these innovations are submerged in the atmosphere of communism, confrontation with the imperialism of the West and all the other inherent political and social aspects of the time.”

The protagonist of “Atomic Heart” is P-3 (a Soviet KGB officer), experiencing mental issues. He is sent to power plant “3826,” waiting for a report (investigating the catastrophic event at Facility 3826). Your duty is to prevent the leakage of classified information and eliminate the consequences of a large-scale accident.

Robots are all around in the game, from gathering timber, to harvesting. Robots are bartenders, cleaners, caretakers, and security guards. In every house, there is a reliable robot. Although there is gunplay and weapon customization in the hardcore close combat game, (with over 30 types of melee weapons and firearms) there is more to the storyline of “Atomic Heart,” but that is what keeps us tuned in to know what happens next.
