Tekken 8 Rumored to Release in Early 2024

Bandai Namco hasn’t confirmed it yet, but according to a couple of insiders, Tekken 8 will be gearing up for an early 2024 launch across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

If you had high hopes of seeing the eighth mainline installment in the acclaimed fighting franchise before the end of 2023, then you may want to shuffle a few days around in your diary. Turns out, it won’t be hitting consoles and PC this year at all — but on January 26, 2024, according to a user who happened to stumble across the release date over on the Microsoft Store.

Of course, we’ll have to take everything with a grain of salt for the time being, as the store page in question has since been removed from the public spotlight. If what it accidentally leaked ahead of its official update turns out to be true, though, then we won’t have to wait all that long for the next battle after all. Only time will tell on that one.

Don’t Forget About Gamescom 2023

It is worth pointing out that Gamescom 2023 is only around the corner, too, so there’s a strong chance that Bandai Namco will announce the release date during that. Speaking of which, you can tune in to the Opening Night Live showcase later today over on YouTube, Twitch, and X. Will it feature Tekken 8? Who knows, but according to host Geoff Keighley, the event will take the opportunity to spill the beans on all the “announced games” — so there’s a good chance that it will.

Whatever happens, you can check in with Bandai Namco over on its official social feed for all the latest updates here. If anything does change ahead of its concrete release date, then we’ll be sure to fill you in on all the latest details right here on gaming.net.

So, what’s your take? Will you be picking up a copy of Tekken 8 when it hits the shelves? Let us know your thoughts over on our socials here.
