What is Coral Island?

Developed by Stairways Games, Coral Island is an adventure RPG Farming simulator set on the tropical island of Coral. The game allows players to transform the farm by planting crops, keeping farm animals and befriending the other Coral islanders.  

Story

Luma Island sends players on a journey across the island as they help out the locals. But watch out! There are vicious spiders on the island. Therefore, you must traverse the island very carefully and collect the magical Lumas. Additionally, the game features challenging puzzles alongside the treasures that the island hides for you to discover. 

One cool thing about Luma Island is that you can choose from seven unique professions. Now, each profession adds depth to the gameplay. Each profession brings to the table its own unique ability to grow and make the island a better place to live. It's like a football team where players play different positions but aim at the same goal. 

On the other hand, Coral Island is not your typical cornfield affair but a re-imagination of the classics set on a tropical island. The game features a diverse set of characters from all over. Interestingly, you can chat with them, share your stories and guess what? You can even gift them. That is super cool. Every conversation is a chance to build relationships that will help you grow the island. The coolest part is that you can explore romantic relationships with 16 eligible singles. You can even go on a date. Yes! You got it right. You can go on a date and even go further and have a family. 

But it's not all about small talk. You've got an overgrown piece of land waiting to be transformed. Therefore, you must turn it into a thriving farm that matches your vibe. So, pick your play style by choosing the crops you want to grow, deciding which animals to nurture and figuring out the perfect structures to build. You can check out the forgotten caverns on the island for precious gemstones. However, you must watch out for monsters. It's not very safe out there. A weapon would be ideal for such adventures in Coral Island, just in case you get spotted by the enemy.

Characters

At first, it's a big island with Lumas, Yoshis, and the funny Willy. But as you explore, the island gets even bigger, and new friends move in. There's Wario, who loves hunting for space gold but might not be the brightest. You'll also meet Nate, The Friendly Goomba, and The Chimp, who comes back for more fun challenges. Additionally, the game features penguins and birds.

On the other hand, Coral Island is filled with over 50 diverse characters from all races, each bringing a unique touch to the tropical farm adventure. Also, you will take care of animals like chickens and sheep.

Gameplay

Luma Island gameplay is a blend of puzzle-solving, platforming and interactions with various inhabitants. The game features simple controls and straightforward objectives. Similarly, the game stands out for its diverse characters and vibrant cosmic environments.

Coral Island incorporates over 75 plantable options based on the different seasons. Furthermore, players can dive into the ocean to collect coral reefs and explore the forgotten caverns. The game also offers a romantic dimension where you can mingle with 16 singles, allowing you to go on dates and potentially start a family. 

Development 

Feel Free Games are the creative minds behind the Luma. The team is working hard to make a super cool farming game set to launch later in 2024 on PC. They've put tons of effort into making the game fun, with incredible features and exciting places to explore. Unfortunately, we do not have details about the release date. However,  you can add the game to your wishlist so you will get it when it finally arrives. 

Coral Island was developed by Staircase Games and released on November 14, 2023. The game was launched on Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
