Is Xbox Game Pass About to Unravel Another Thread of Games?

Published

 on

Xbox Game Pass has become something of a creative waterfall these days, what with its constant flow of video games and demos to churn its waters. And now, with Electronic Arts already under its hammer, as well as the whole of Activision Blizzard joining the fold, we're left to wonder which games will plant roots on the platform next.

One of the many games subscribers to the Game Pass platform are putting forward is World of Warcraft, being Blizzard's all-time favourite cash cow. Truth be told, it's unlikely this will happen at any point in the near future, as its features are simply too complex to port to a console dashboard. But with that said, many other games with such lavish suites have done so in the past. The question is, does Microsoft have the motivation, as well as the resources to execute such a thing?

World of Warcraft aside, Game Pass is once again looking to bulk out its library. After posting a tweet earlier today about new games possibly coming to the service, it's clear a few cogs are already in motion. As for what it is or when it's coming — that's another question. However, it's one we'll likely have answered soon.

More indies?

Of course, in reality, it could be anything, and we'd be lying if we said Game Pass didn't have a soft spot for indie titles. Other than A Plague Tale: Requiem, all upcoming AAA day one releases are rather thin on the ground so far this year. But of course, with the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, that could all change before too long.

So, what do you think is coming to Game Pass? Are you expecting another line of indies, or a surprise AAA? Let us know over on our socials here or down in the comments below.

You can check in on the official Game Pass social for more updates here.
