Genshin Impact: Everything New in Version 3.3

Genshin Impact is celebrating the highly anticipated release of its latest update. Update version 3.3 brings a lot of new features into the immensely popular CRPG. Among these new features are new characters, new questlines, and even a full-fledged trading card game known as Genius Invokation. The trading card game hopes to grab players' attention and give the game another avenue for success. So without further ado, here is Genshin Impact: Everything New in Version 3.3.

5. Genius Invokation TCG

While it is far from the most prominent feature in the newest update, what better place to start than with the inclusion of Genshin Impact‘s new trading card game? As with many story elements, this game also ties into the world's lore, as many fan-favorite characters are seen playing the game. The game's play style is very similar to other trading card games with character and effect cards. How you use these cards in conjunction with one another will significantly affect how well you do in the game. Players will have to go around and collect cards in order to improve their deck.

Adding more cards to your collection will be very important so you can put them in your Genius Inokation deck. Players are able to learn the ropes of this game by visiting the Cat's Tail in Mondstadt. Here, players will meet up with various characters and be taught how to play. The card game is pretty straightforward, and the tutorial does a fantastic job of teaching you. Added within update 3.3, this card game hopes to add more varied content to the already massive world of Genshin Impact.

4. Faruzan

Faruzan is an interesting new character added to the game. This Hatsune Miku-inspired character is actually older than she appears. She is a four-star bow user who uses the Anemo element. Players will be able to add her to their team to significant effect if they build their team around her. She typically plays more of a supportive role and groups enemy characters together to take advantage of the many AoE attacks in the game.

The lore of this character, as with many of the characters in Genshin Impact, is very detailed and ties into the game's overall lore. Trapped in a tomb because she cannot solve an ancient puzzle, Faruzan has been trapped for many years. This has led her to demand people call her Madame Faruzan to grant her the distinction of her age. This plays a big part in her character interactions as she constantly reminds people of her age. Faruzan seems to be a great addition to the Genshin Impact roster, and I'm sure we will see tons of her in the future.

3. New Archon Quests

As with many of the Genshin Impact updates, update 3.3 features additions to the Archon questline. These, for those who don't know, act as main story quests that the player can undertake that typically have to deal with either world lore or the lore of an area in particular. This is very important to a lot of players within the Genshin Impact community, as the world's lore is so extensive.

This Archon quest will likely deal with the Wanderer, who we will discuss later in this article. For now, though, just know that players will be able to enjoy new content within the new Archon quest. If you aren't as savvy as you should be on Genshin Impact lore, as it is very extensive, there are plenty of either in-game or outside resources to get you caught up. Players will have to complete the prerequisite Archon quests and a side quest called ” A Strange and Friendless Road” as part of Kaedehara Kazuha's questline. So once you have met the prerequisite, you can enjoy the Archon quest.

2. New Story Questlines

The new story questline will revolve around The Wanderer. This will make the quest line immensely popular with players. Players will be able to learn more about the events surrounding this new character and how they have changed since the last they saw them. Since we have needed an update on this character since their vital role in the last game patch, it is great to see them again in a new context.

While it might not be the most extensive quest line in the game, this hopes to shed some light on some fan-favorite characters as well as deepen and enrich the world's lore. This ultimately means that this update will be huge for Genshin Impact fans. As with many updates, the quest lines and their conclusions are incredibly important to the fanbase.  But if the offerings prior to this release are anything to go by, then this game will certainly not disappoint. So if players have been looking forward to more story content specifically focused around the Wanderer, their wishes are granted.

1. The Wanderer

Quite possibly the most impactful addition to the game, update 3.3 introduces The Wanderer as a playable character. This is sure to change up many different team compositions and allows this character to show off their immense power. While Scaramouche has been in the game as a character since patch 1.1, here in patch 3.3, they are finally playable. The once antagonist of the Traveller is a five-star Anemo user that wields a Catalyst.

Featured alongside this new character are also new weapons. These new weapons are five-star n their own right and are incredibly powerful. Players looking to add The Wanderer to their team will have to focus on their ability to do damage. Pairing The Wanderer with a character like Faruzan, who is capable of grouping multiple enemies, can prove highly beneficial. This character also comes with a unique mechanic in that he can fly for a short duration. This allows him to travel great distances rather easily, which is sure to come in handy. All in all, update 3.3 has brought so much new content to Genshin Impact that it is truly astounding. So if you haven't jumped in and caught up with current events, now is your chance!
