Games Around the Corner is a new installment that will introduce you to promising games we just can’t wait to play. Here are some of the most interesting titles that await us in September and October.

WRC 10

To start, we have the newest installment of a professional driving simulator. WRC 10 marks the 50th anniversary of this championship and will cover the most memorable events from 1973 till today. With a dozen new rallies spread throughout Europa and America, 20 legendary cars, and numerous historical events, it aims to bring the fullest and most realistic racing experience yet.

Life is Strange: True Colors

Next, we have a continuation of a popular adventure series made by Deck Nine. True Colors is set in a small alpine town called Haven Springs, which holds many secrets. The game follows a new character – Alex Chen, a woman who can absorb and manipulate other people's emotions. As her brother dies under mysterious circumstances, she decides to use her psychic powers to find out what has really happened. We are promised an emotional story full of twists, where each choice might result in a vastly different outcome.

Deathloop

Deathloop is a twisted take on the idea presented in Groundhog day. The game follows 2 assassins that are closed in a time loop, cursed to kill each other for eternity. Your only chance of breaking this cycle is by eliminating 8 targets in a single day. To do this, you will have to learn from your mistakes, gathering valuable info, new weapons, and abilities. Deathloop is played through Colt's eyes, but you can always jump into multiplayer mode, where you can control another assassin and invade other players. We are hoping for a mind-bending experience and hope developers will deliver.

Platforms: PlayStation 5, PC

Release Date: September 14th

Upcoming Games: Deathloop

Aragami 2

Aragami 2 is an upcoming stealth adventure in which you take the role of elite assassins who can control the shadows. It's your job to help other Aragmi locked by invaders and protect your village from an incoming attack. There are 2 ways to do this: strike from the shadows or engage in challenging direct combat that looks pretty stylish. Aragmi 2 can be experienced solo or in co-op with 2 friends, and we can't wait to try it.

Far Cry 6

The new installment of this cult open-world FPS is set in the tropical Yara, which is a fictional Caribbean island. Metroid Dread

It's been nearly 20 years since the last 2D Metroid game, but the wait is finally over. Metroid Dread will tie into the story that started back in the mid-80s. The game will once again follow Samus Aran, as she travels to a planet called ZDR to investigate a weird transmission. Turns out, the whole planet is infested with deadly robots E.M.M.I – and they don't like you one bit. To survive, you will have to run and use newfound abilities to evade these sophisticated enemies. It seems that Metroid Dread also took some inspiration from titles like Alien: Isolation, and we are wondering how this will pan out.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes

House of Ashes is the 3rd installment of a cinematic choice-driven horror game. Set in Iraq during the invasion, your mission is to explore an underground weapon facility. We will take the role of a Star-Lord as he leads the unlikely cast of Guardians through the series of chaotic battles. If it manages to reproduce at least half of the charm of both movies, we will have something great on our hands.
