Best Queen’s Blood Cards in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Queen’s Blood, a card mini-game in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, is fun and captivating but also challenging. It requires a strategic approach to win, mostly involving seizing your opponent’s positions on the board and using powerful cards to boost your final score. Considering that the cards in your deck determine how much space you can dominate and how many points you earn, you need to identify, collect, and use the best cards available.

Overall, there are 145 cards in Queen’s Blood. All cards have varying power stats, and some have varying special abilities that make them more or less efficient. Here is an overview of the five best Queen’s Blood cards in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth to give you an edge over your opponent.

5. Security Officer

Security Officer card in FFVII

Security Officer is one of the best early-game cards, despite its low power stats and lack of special abilities. Fortunately, it is a starter-deck card, meaning that you already have it in your deck. However, you may need to mulligan a bit to find it among the other starter-deck cards.

This card’s strength lies in its ability to add pawns to the positions next to it (left and right). This is a strategic advantage, considering that you must have at least one pawn on a tile to place your card there. With this in mind, it is prudent to place the Security Offer card on a center tile to optimize its effect; placing it on an end tile only adds a pawn to one other tile instead of two.

Interestingly, Capparwire functions like an upgraded version of the Security Officer card, with a few modifications. Its most notable advantage is the higher power rating of 3, compared to Security Officer’s 1. Moreover, it adds pawns to the top and bottom tiles, covering two more lanes when placed at the center. However, it can also lower the power stats of allied and enemy cards by 1, which could be a double-edged sword if you don’t play your cards right.

4. Archdragon

The Archdragon card in FFVII

Archdragon is one of the most aggressive cards in Queen’s Blood. Seizing more positions on the board is one of the core strategies for winning the game, and this card can help in that regard.

Archdragon’s special ability is to lower the power stats of any enemy card adjacent to it on the right side by 3, which is more than what most cards in the game have. Notably, cards disappear from the board when their power stats drop to zero. Moreover, their tiles become neutral, allowing you to place your card there to expand your coverage and accumulate more points.

You can obtain the Archdragon card in Chapter 4 from the Junon Region in the city called Under Junon. You can get it by buying the Weird & Wicked boost pack at the Under Junon General Store.

3. Cockatrice

Cockatrice card in FFVII

Cockatrice is one of the most reliable cards if your strategy involves destroying your opponents’ cards. This card’s special ability involves destroying any allied or enemy card to its right side. Technically, it is a double-edged sword, so you need to check where you place it. Interestingly, unlike enfeeblement cards, this card is guaranteed to destroy other cards.

In addition to destroying an opponent’s card, Cockatrice also replaces it with a pawn. To this end, you can occupy your opponent’s tiles to expand your coverage and increase your points. Interestingly, you can use this card alongside the Tonberry King card, just in case you destroy one of your cards. This is because Tonberry King’s special ability increases its power value by 2 every time an allied card gets destroyed.

You can obtain the Cockatrice card when you reach Chapter 7. It is located in North Corel Village, and you must challenge Rolf to a card game and win to get it.

2. Disgorgon

Disgorgon card in FFVII

Disgorgon is one of the best cards for expanding your coverage on the board, enabling you to occupy more tiles and accrue more points. Its special ability increases position ranks by 2, enabling you to play more powerful cards. Moreover, it activates cards whose special abilities include destroying your enemies’ cards, enabling you to occupy more positions.

Notably, Disgorgon is more effective when used alongside Titan. Like the former, Titan also increases position ranks by 2, enabling you to play even more powerful cards. As such, you can increase position ranks by up to 4 points, which is significant. To this end, you can use cards such as Quetzalcoatl and the J-Unit Sweeper to secure the upper and lower limits.

You can obtain the Disgorgon card when you reach Chapter 11, making it a late-game card. Fortunately, it is easy to obtain, as you only need to purchase the Prehistoric Beasts booster pack at the General Store.

1. Fat Chocobo

Fat Chocobo: Best Queen’s Blood Cards

Fat Chocobo has one of the “fattest” power rankings of all cards in Queen’s Blood, rated at 5. In contrast, the average power stats for most other cards range from 2 to 3. Technically, the card is worth at least two other cards and gives a significant boost to your final score. It is also worth mentioning that the card can survive against most other enfeeblement cards, which reduce your cards’ power rankings, enabling you to hold on to your tiles.

Besides withstanding enfeeblement cards, Fat Chocobo can also help you seize your opponent’s positions. Its special ability entails creating a surfeit of positions around it, enabling you to push your pawns to the opponent’s side.

It is worth noting that Fat Chocobo can be challenging to play, and it is easy to waste its powerful features. Interestingly, it works best when combined with the Cactuar and Crystalline Crab cards, which you can place at the top and bottom to set up three Fat Chocobo pawns in the center.
