Best Leader Minis in Warcraft Rumble

Blizzard’s latest mobile action game has been all the rage for the past few weeks. It brings to us the world of Azeroth in a whole new, interesting, and easier way. You’ll collect miniatures “Minis” in all shapes and sizes and send them off to clash in epic melee battles. No doubt, strategic thinking and meticulous team building will come in handy. For the latter, you need to give extra consideration to your leader, Minis, who, well, leads your army to battle. They form the backbone of your army, helping charge your strategy to success.

Your leader often dictates your strategy and playstyle. They tend to have unique passive traits and a more comprehensive selection of talents that you’ll often use as presets for your army. With over a dozen leaders on offer, you want to choose the ones that can dismantle various opposing army compositions. Among the leader minis you can choose, here are the best leader minis in Warcraft Rumble that are the sure bet to victory.

5. Tirion Fordring

Do You Have the BEST Tirion Fordring Deck? Find Out Now!

WoW’s fondly loved Tirion Fordring returns in Warcraft Rumble, and he’s still the reliable character he always is. He can heal and tank just as well for the sensible 4 Gold placement cost you’ll need to chip in to accrue his services. Fordring, however, needs to be up close to the opponent to unleash his AoE healing special ability. Meanwhile, he can withstand damage, thanks to his tanky armored trait, while dealing decent damage, too. So, effectively, you’ll have covered all the bases in the heat of the battle.

To squeeze every ounce of battle support Tirion Fordring can offer, you’ll want to continue to upgrade your unit as much as you can. This way, Fordring can restore a higher percentage of nearby allies’ health with each upgrade. The only deficit with Fordring is that he only excels when placed on the same team as armies from the Alliance faction. On the other hand, choose alliance-based armies, preferably armored and ranged minis, and you’re good to go. Stack two Fordrings, and well, woe unto whoever’s brave enough to go up against you.

4. Rend Blackhand

Warcraft Rumble PvP - Learning Rend Blackhand!

As for the Dark Horde, you’ll want to go with Rend Blackhand. He offers both elemental and martial prowess, perfect against armies wielding either force. What’s more? He comes in pairs, mounting his red dragon Gyth to create a flying-centric build. Even when knocked off his mount, he can still fight in battle as a melee combatant. It makes sense he comes at the pricey 6 Gold placement charge.

Additionally, while using Rend Blackhand, regardless of whether he’s flying or dismounted, every other flying minis will be cheaper. Precisely, he lowers every flying mini’s cost by 1 Gold, but no less than 2 total. So, when you consider the fire-breather menace unleashing a devastating AoE attack that can take down groups of enemies. And the fact that Blackhand can stay longer in battle, becoming a ground troop when dismounted that can withstand heavy damage while dealing a decent amount of damage. It’s a no-brainer why Rend Blackhand is an absolute necessity for your team.

3. Grommash Hellscream

How to PLAY and WIN with Grommash Hellscream in Warcraft Rumble | 13-1 W/L for 1000 MMR in TWO HOURS

The beefy, no pun intended, frontline tank, Grommash Hellscream, is a mighty leader mini to add to your team. He can boost the movement and attack speed of all nearby allies by a whopping 33%. It makes all the difference between a good game and a great one. Plus, add the catalyst you may need to spearhead your team to victory.

On his own, Hellscream remains a force to be reckoned with. He can deal double damage to every enemy below 50% health. Additionally, he gets an AoE spin special power that deals extra damage to every nearby ally. However, Hellscream can be susceptible to flying and squad units. So, make sure to weigh the pros and cons, keeping in mind that the 33% buff will last for a few seconds even after Hellscream dies.

2. Maiev Shadowsong

Warcraft Rumble Maiev Shadowsong Guide

Maiev Shadowsong’s most significant advantage is stealth. She can be invisible until she attacks or sustains damage. It helps create plenty of opportunities to sneak up on opponents and create varied gameplay. Furthermore, Shadowsong is an Unbound unit that has a versatile set of moves you can use. So, while you can avoid risky situations with your invisibility cloak, you’re free to also play however you want.

However, Unbound’s ability to deploy anywhere can cause more harm than good. Sure, it can allow for excellent mobility and strategy. However, the randomness of deploying Unbound units isn’t always predictable. Also, Unbound units tend to have weaker strength against an excellent army. Either way, Shadowsong’s stealth and strategic mobility do make her a formidable force you can use to instigate attacks enemies won’t see coming.

1. Baron Rivendare

Baron Rivendare: Mini Breakdown, PvP Strategy & Gameplay | Warcraft Rumble

Baron Rivendare reigns supreme over the undead. He can summon skeletal mages to do his bidding through his passive Army of the Dead ability. What’s more? He keeps summoning them, even when he’s not on the field. The skeletons emerge from the buildings you control, including Hearthstones. And their job is to cripple the opponent and cut them off at their knees.

Skeleton mages use a frost attack to slow enemies on hit. They can distract enemies while claiming remote resources. Meanwhile, Baron Rivendare isn’t utterly useless on his own. He can soak up Tower damage and deal some respectable elemental single-target damage. He moves pretty fast, too, giving him excellent agility on the battlefield.

All you need to do is control as many towers as possible. Then, let Rivendare give your opponent hell by putting pressure on multiple lanes as Skeletons continue to spawn close by. This way, many skeletons will clutter the map, forcing your opponent to claw their way to completing objectives while you cruise your way to the top.
