Bandai Namco Has Dropped the Elden Ring Launch Trailer

Bandai Namco has officially dropped the launch trailer for the long-awaited Elden Ring game, complete with a generous variety of gameplay snippets, open world sneak peeks, and even a few boss battles to boot.

Bandai Namco, working alongside FromSoftware, has published the latest trailer to Elden Ring. Included in the short snippet, of course, are all the bells and whistles one would come to expect from the celebrated developer. Epic, beyond belief, and most definitely rifled with powerful messages and mind-bending theatrics.

2022 marks the return of the Souls-like category, with Elden Ring manning the helm for another brutally difficult chapter in FromSoftware's blooming portfolio. Ever since 2019's Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, both fans and critics have been twiddling thumbs waiting for the next leg of the journey. And as many Souls-like impersonaters we've come to know since then, nothing has quite satisfied the hunger as much as the original source.

What looms beyond the clouds?

Elden Ring is, without a doubt, the most hyped up game of 2022 so far. Next to the likes of Horizon: Forbidden West, which only launched last week, the FromSoftware game is right up there as one of the most sought after games of the year. Luckily, after two years of scrubbing around in the dark, it will finally drop on all major platforms.

“Marika's offspring, demigods all, claimed the shards of the Elden Ring known as the Great Runes, and the mad taint of their newfound strength triggered a war: The Shattering. A war that meant abandonment by the Greater Will,” the plot reads.

“And now the guidance of grace will be brought to the Tarnished who were spurned by the grace of gold and exiled from the Lands Between. Ye dead who yet live, your grace long lost, follow the path to the Lands Between beyond the foggy sea to stand before the Elden Ring.”

Elden Ring will launch on Feb. 25, 2022 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. You can follow the updates for the game over on the official social handle here.
