WWE 2K24 Matches

Visual Concepts and 2K are gearing up for the 2024 edition of their WWE 2K24 Showcase games. Themed ‘Forty Years of Wrestlemania’, this year’s edition features a total of 21 matches, drawn from epic WWE Wrestlemania matches from its debut to the most recent event, Wrestlemania 39. With the list of superstars featured out, here are the best WWE 2K24 matches fans will be catching.

10. Razor Ramon vs Shawn Michaels

Razor Ramon vs Shawn Michaels

Reminisce about Wrestlemania 10 with the epic showdown of Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels at Madison Square Garden. It’s among the top matches already announced for WWE 2K24, and just like it was with Wrestlemania 10, WWE fans can’t wait to catch the action in WWE 2K24. It was barely two years after Shawn Michael’s Intercontinental Champion victory, pitting him as a young star to watch in WWE.

Razor Ramon would later be crowned the Intercontinental Champion after Michaels failed to defend his title. An apparent culmination of rivalry that would finally be settled in the Wrestlemania X ladder match.

9. Randy Orton vs Seth Rollins

Randy Orton vs Seth Rollins

Randy Orton and Seth Rollins brushed it out nearly a decade ago in Wrestlemania 31. The WWE fandom recalls how Mr. Money in the Bank had just cost Orton four months of his WWE career, but all that was settled in the Wrestlemania match. The former teammates in The Authority had invoked towering tensions after Seth pulled a curb stomp on his comrade Orton. Orton would later get his revenge by reversing the curb stomp by delivering the greatest of all-time RKO.

Although the two eventually patched things up, fans would love a relive of their Wrestlemania match, whose performance was quite a show. It was more about the action than the outcome.

8. Stone Cold vs Kevin Owes

Stone Cold vs Kevin Owes

Wrestlemania 38 had two remarkable events, and the Stone Cold vs. Kevin Owes brawl was one of them and probably the better option. It had been nearly two decades since the legendary Stone Cold was in the ring, coming out to face Kevin Owes on Wrestlemania 38.

It’s pretty exciting to see the young WWE star Kevin Owes wrestle against his childhood idol, and fans will be catching the experience live again in WWE 2K24. Stone, popularly known as the Rattlesnake, even opened up about his thrilling brawl with Owes, adding that he was excited with how the fight turned out.

7. Bianca Belair vs Asuka

Take a trip down Wrestlemania memory lane with WWE queens Bianca Belair and Asuka. In less than a decade on the WWE scene, Belair has already made a name for herself in history. WWE 2K24 fans love her speed, strength, and agility in the ring. Her rival in Wrestlemania 39, Asuka, is also not quite long in WWE, coming in just a year before Belair. But she’s also a force to be reckoned with, thanks to her submission skills and striking ability. The duo delivered unforgettable moments, making the combination a worthwhile WWE 2K24 match for Wrestlemania 40.

6. Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes

Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes

From Wrestlemania 39, Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes is a must-have if WWE 2K24 will be complete as a relive of the most memorable matches. In their previous match at Wrestlemania 39, Rhodes lost to the legendary Roman Reigns. But something about it doesn’t feel right in Wrestlemania 40. Cody Rhodes is WWE 2K24’s cover star, and his popularity is growing. It just doesn't feel okay to smash Rhodes as Roman Reigns in the upcoming sequel. But simultaneously, it would be right for this Showcase mode to skip this match.

5. Ravishing Ricky Rude vs Ultimate Warrior

Ravishing Ricky Rude vs Ultimate Warrior

WWE seemed to quite understand Ultimate Warrior’s dangerous in-ring style and the fact that he needed a great opponent to carry him to glory. Perhaps that’s why Ravishing Ricky Rude made a perfect rival for Warrior. The duo have had countless matches in WWE history, always trading wins and losses almost in equal measure. But its undeniable Rude made Warrior look great in the ring and they are coming back in WWE 2K24.

4. Hulk Hogan vs Andre The Giant

Hulk Hogan vs Andre The Giant

Every WWE fan remembers Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant’s match at Wrestlemania 3, despite it happening long ago. Why? It is the most hyped match between the two long-time WWE stars, even though they were still rematched in Wrestlemania 4. Even though Hulk defeated Andre in the legendary match, Andre reversed his loss in the 1988 main event, ending Hogan’s long-standing reign as the WWE champion.

3. The Rock vs Stone Cold

The Rock vs Stone Cold

WWE 2K24 becomes the fourth Wrestlemania series to feature a ‘The Rock vs. Stone Cold’ match. With WWE comfortable repeating the matches in close Wrestlemania successions, you can definitely tell the duo brings a rather infectious energy into WWE arenas. From Wrestlemania 15  to Wrestlemania 17 and Wrestlemania 19’s success, we can only wait for a repeat or even better performance in Wrestlemania 40.

2. Bray Watt vs John Cena

Bray Watt vs John Cena

John Cena took on Bray Watt in what is still the most bizarre match in WWE’s history. It was Wrestlemania 36, which took a different turn from other releases in the series, occasioned by the pandemic. A difficult-to-explain match with zero fans, and happening through John Cenas’s career moments. The result? Bray Watt beat John Cena in the epic Firefly Funhouse match that is coming back only three seasons apart in Wrestlemania 40.

1. The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels

The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels

WWE 2K24 fans will have another season to put an end to The Undertaker’s streak as Shawn Michaels. It’s among the confirmed matches coming back in the 40th edition of the Wrestlemania series. The duo squared off in Wrestlemania 25, but following Shawn’s obsession to defeat The Undertaker, he was determined for a rematch, which he finally got but with a stipulation. Shawn had to retire if he lost, making it a streak vs. career match that is one of the best WWE 2K24 matches. Perhaps Shawn wouldn’t have a better way to retire anyway; a main Wrestlemania event against one of the greatest WWE legends.
