Xbox Games With Gold November Lineup Announced

Published

 on

Xbox Games with Gold has unveiled the curtain on its two free games for November for Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass Ultimate Subscribers. The first title, Preatorions – HD Remaster will be available all month. The second game, Dead End Job, will be available starting November 16 till December 15. Why the reduced game selection of four to two? That's coming from Mircosoft's mass email back in July which stated “We have reached the limit of our ability to bring Xbox 360 games to the catalog,”

Which ultimately has “forced” the company to drop the selection of freebies from four, down to just two games a month. This went into effect in October and is continuing into November, leaving Xbox Games with Gold subscribers frustrated and feeling like they are getting the short end of the stick. This is not to say that these two new titles aren't good, and we have more information on what these games entail below, but a title that gets us out of our seats every now and then would be a welcomed change.

What to Play?

Praetorians – HD Remaster is a remaster of the 2003 original. The game is a real-time strategy (RTS) set during the early days of the Roman Empire. If you're into an RTS, this game will take you to different battlefields across Europe during the Roman Empire era. Then, halfway through November, we get our hands on the more upbeat, Dead End Job. This couch co-op, twin-stick shooter has you hunting ghosts with your plasma blaster and vacuum pack. The games a joy solo with procedurally generated levels, so none feel or play the same. But it's best meant to be played as a local couch co-op game.

Xbox Games with Gold subscribers are losing survival game Windbound on October 31. However, you can still get your hands on Bomber Crew Deluxe Edition until November 15. So, while there are some good free game options with Games with Gold in November, the lineup is ultimately disappointing. But, with Christmas and the spirit of giving on the horizon, hopefully, Microsoft will offer a better selection for Xbox Games with Gold in December.
