It goes without saying that, as far as award-winning action/adventure games travel, 2023 has been one of the best we've seen in years — especially for the independent community. Having said that, it was The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that managed to swoop in and take the crown for Best Action/Adventure Game at The Game Awards 2023.

Whilst it is a sweet, sweet victory for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it is worth pointing out that The Game Awards 2023's Best Action/Adventure category did share the stage with four other worthy candidates.
