The Game Awards 2022: Start Time, How to Watch, and Details

The Game Awards is once again gearing up to invite all the best IPs, developers, and publishers to one accolade-obsessed extravaganza. Like before, The Game Awards 2023 streamers can expect a full-fat showcase featuring dozens of awards, interviews, and exclusive previews for some of the most anticipated video games of 2024 and beyond.

If you haven’t had the chance to catch up with all the latest updates yet, here’s everything you need to know ahead of The Game Awards’ stream date.

When Is The Game Awards 2023?

In case you’ve yet to scratch out the date on your calendar, The Game Awards 2023 will be taking place on December 7, 2023 at 4:30pm PT, both in person at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, as well as online via the official streaming handle. Alternatively, you can stream the event live on YouTube, Twitch, or X (formerly known as Twitter).

The Game Awards 2023: Live Nomination Announcement

The Game Awards 2023 will be revealing the nominees for over thirty categories on November 13, 2023 at 9am PT, 12pm ET, and 5pm GMT, via its social media handles. The announcement will also be presented by host Geoff Keighley as part of a livestream event. You can keep tabs on that particular announcement by checking out the video embedded above.

Categories

As it currently stands, there are “over 30 categories” appearing at The Game Awards 2023, including the coveted “Game of the Year” award. In addition to this, streamers can also expect to see returning awards, including but not limited to Best Narrative, Best Sound Design, and Best Original Soundtrack.
