Starship Troopers: Terran Command Delayed

Delayed from the 31st of March to June 16th, your bug crushing dreams will have to wait.

Only a handful of days before the official launch date, Starship Troopers: Terran Command has been delayed. This information was made public via a steam announcement from the developer's Aristocrats and publisher Slitherine games. Opening with an apology, the post covers their collective desire to further polish the game so that it is released in a fully-finished state. Also stating that the game itself is content complete, so bug-fixing seems to be the focus.

Highlighted from the post, it is “important to them” that the game can be “enjoyed from day 1.” It's clear they are dedicated to this goal. We can likely all agree that delay for the sake of a more bug-free and functional release is completely understandable. We have all had our share of less than stellar launches and pre-order scars. As far as delays go, there have definitely been worse.

Terran Command is an upcoming RTS set in the cult-classic sci-fi universe of Starship Troopers. For any who missed the announcement trailer from over a year ago, it shows off an exciting preview of the Starship Troopers themed strategy game.

Luckily, you won't be a footsoldier this time around. While bug-slaying remains your top priority, you will instead be leading the efforts from on up high. Using squads of disposa- ehem, I mean infantry. As well as a mixture of vehicles and built defences.  Moving between maps and missions clearing them of the bug menace! From gameplay footage and a recent demo, it already seems to be a decent purchase for any RTS fan. We'll just have to wait a little longer before we get to know more.
