Outcast: A New Beginning Release Date Announced
THQ Nordic and Appeal Studios have officially announced the release date for Outcast: A New Beginning.
The game is a sequel to Outcast, the sci-fi action-adventure classic. The release of Outcast: A New Beginning marks a significant moment for fans of the late 90s classic. It garnered acclaim for its distinctive humor and played a pivotal role in defining the open-world genre.
The sci-fi action-adventure sequel reunites players with the iconic protagonist, Cutter Slade, who returns to the alien world of Adelpha. Slade's mission involves aiding the local Talans in repelling invading humanoid robots and unraveling the mysteries surrounding his return to this extraterrestrial realm.

Executive producer Michael Paeck shared insights into the gaming experience at a recent digital event. He revealed that players will need a playtime of 30 to 35 hours to navigate through the main storyline.
However, players can immerse themselves in many side missions scattered throughout the expansive open world.
Paeck emphasized the adaptability of Slade's journey, made possible by jetpack players acquired early in the game that allowed them to move around Adelpha without incident. He also added that, aside from some invading spaceships high in the sky, every corner of the map is accessible on foot.
Appeal Studios announced Outcast: A New Beginning in 2021 as Outcast 2: A New Beginning. However, the developers decided to drop the numerical designation to enhance the game's accessibility.
The original Outcast launched in 1999. Several remakes have been released, with the 2017 remake titled Outcast: Second Contact receiving laudable reviews.
Outcast: A New Beginning will release on March 15, 2024, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The game will be available on PC for $59.99, while the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions will cost $69.99.
