On July 4th, Nintendo revealed a new multiplayer map for the much-awaited title Splatoon 3. Fans are intrigued and excited about this new map. Nintendo has been revealing several items related to the title, and this map joins the lineup.

About the Splatoon Series

Splatoon 3 is a sequel to the successful title Splatoon 2. It is known for its spectacular graphics and fun gameplay experience. The game is an online competitive combat experience.

Players can choose to play in single-player or multiplayer modes. The multiplayer mode facilitates two squads of four players fighting against each other to cover the map with as much ink as possible. Players have a variety of choices of ink weapons, gears, and maps.

Nintendo Unveils “Mincemeat Metalworks”

In the official tweet, Nintendo also reveals the name of the new map- Mincemeat Metalworks. The tweet describes the map as “The facility was made FROM scrap metal in order to make MORE scrap metal.” Adding further details, it mentions “Also, there was a sea here that evaporated. Surely unrelated to heavy industry.”

From the description and the trailer video, we can see that it’s a construction yard built of scrap metal.

However, as the developers also talk about the evaporated sea, it seems to be hinting at lore. This is in relation to the presence of various anthropomorphic creatures in these games.

The new map looks action-packed with a lot of chokepoints that might as well influence the gameplay. For example, the industrial crane grabber featured throughout the trailer seems to impact different play styles.

Fans are already expecting a lot. According to some, this is bigger than any other map ever seen in the game. Splatoon 3 is all set to release on September 9th, 2022. Fans cannot wait for the ink mayhem to hit Nintendo Switch once again.
