Splatoon 3 Amiibo Release Date Announced

Nintendo has announced the release date for the new Splatoon 3 amiibo. Nintendo revealed three Splatoon 3-themed amiibo earlier this year before the game’s release. The amiibos include a yellow Inkling, a blue Octoling, and a Smallfry. However, we did not get a specific release date. The release date has now been officially confirmed. 

Additionally, Nintendo released a new trailer alongside the release date announcement. This short teaser shows off the capabilities of the amiibo and the content that users can expect to have access to by activating them. At the moment, the amiibo appears to function in the same way as in previous games. When players go to the Splatsville amiibo box, they'll get a popup to scan their amiibo in the real world. Just like with the previous Splatoon amiibo, the 3 amiibos grant access to exclusive in-game items, such as a cool helmet with a flock of hair resembling the one worn by Smallfry. 

Scanning the amiibo will bring the character to life, and players will be able to save their gear sets on the amiibo. Players can also take photos of their amiibo characters in iconic settings from the game. To add to the fun, they can share them with others. The trailer hinted at some of the new gear that will be available, which is perhaps what long-time fans of the franchise are most looking forward to. A Mad Max-esque outfit designed to appear like the player's small fry friend, a martial arts gi, and a ragged uniform with a fish bone poking out of the player's mouth are all up for grabs.

Splatoon 3 Amiibo Release Date

The three Splatoon 3 amiibos will be released on November 11, 2022. Due to their high demand, the Splatoon 3 amiibos will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Players can check their local store or the website for pre-orders. However, because of the high demand, they will probably be gone as soon as they go on sale. If you miss out on the initial sale, you need not worry as you can always purchase later. Amiibos are more than just collectibles and really improve the playing experience in Splatoon. Therefore, there will be more in circulation. 

Splatoon 3 launched in September 2022 and is available on Nintendo Switch.
