March 2022: Xbox Games With Gold or PlayStation Plus?

Both Xbox and PlayStation have revealed their next thread of freebies for both Games With Gold and PlayStation Plus. The question is, which of the two has procured the better titles, and which platform is on track to clean house this Spring?

On the Xbox side, those that are subscribed to the Games With Gold service will be getting four freebies next month. These freebies, which will be available from March 1, are The Flame in the Flood, Street Power Soccer, Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, and SpongeBob's Truth or Square. Before the swap is finalized, subscribers will be able to redeem February's line-up. Currently, Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse, Aerial_Knights Never Yield, Hydrophobia, and Band of Bugs are available to download.

As for PlayStation Plus users, March's offerings will also include four free games. From March 1, you can get your hands on Ark: Survival Evolved, Team Sonic Racing, Ghostrunner, and Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. As it stands, you can currently bag Planet Coaster: Console Edition, Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure, and EA Sports UFC 4.

Decisions, decisions

While both factions are resorting to the big guns for the first quarter of the year, one side, in particular, definitely takes the current lead. Now, although we ourselves like to remain on both sides of the fence, we do have to give Sony the nod on this one. Combined with February's offerings, PlayStation Plus seems like the all-round better option. That's subject to change, for sure, but our coin lies with Sony at this moment in time. Try and snatch it Microsoft.

You can pick up your monthly subscriptions to Games With Gold and PlayStation Plus for $9.99.

Anyway, what about you? Which subscription platform has you hooked this month? Let us know over on our socials here or down in the comments below.
