Hogwarts Legacy is swiftly moving closer and closer towards its induction day, meaning those acceptance letters are but a hop, skip and jump away. However, with its 2022 launch only being a stone's throw away, the team over at Warner Bros. are having to do all in their power to stabilise it before it hits the shelves, meaning a few helping hands aren't all that far away.

According to Sumo Digital, two of its studios, Red Kite Games and Sumo Nottingham, are pitching in to help bring the Harry Potter spin-off to life. Of course, the level of involvement in the game hasn't been clarified, though it's likely to help dot the i's and cross the t's during the final phase of development. But don't take our word on that.

“We are very excited to share the news that two of our studios — Red Kite Games and Sumo Nottingham — are involved in the upcoming Hogwarts Legacy videogame,” the tweet said.

What is Hogwarts Legacy?

Set in 1800s Hogwarts, you find yourself invited to the renowned School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where every class and spell has a power to forge your legacy, be it good or bad. Through classes, duels and general progression, the wizarding world hands you the opportunity to become whatever you want to be.

“You have received a late acceptance to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and soon discover that you are no ordinary student: you possess an unusual ability to perceive and master Ancient Magic,” the synopsis reads in detail. “Only you can decide if you will protect this secret for the good of all, or yield to the temptation of more sinister magic.”

Hogwarts Legacy will launch early 2022 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. You can follow the updates for the game on the official social handle here. You can also pre-order the game from most major retail outlets.
