Fortnite Confirms Dragon Ball Crossover

Epic Games has officially revealed that a Dragon Ball crossover will be available in Fortnite later in August. The news of this crossover has been the subject of many leaks and speculation than the average Fortnite crossover.

The Dragon Ball franchise is one of the most well-known anime, and its impact on the gaming industry has been felt with hits like Dragon Ball FighterZ. The crossover with Fortnite was leaked at the beginning of July. Therefore, it is hardly a surprise. HYPEX, a well-known Fortnite insider, revealed the information in July. The insider revealed that in a recent update, Epic had included a Creative Stamina Prop that resembled Capsule Corp from Dragon Ball Z. HYPEX also stated that the prop’s dark contours matched those of current anime cosmetics in Fortnite.

Epic Games has now confirmed that the crossover between Fortnite and Dragon Ball is in the works. The official Fortnite Twitter account teased the next anime crossover in Fortnite by posting a picture of what appears to be Shenron, the Eternal Dragon from the Dragon Ball universe. We can clearly recognize the image of the supernatural creature, but the image provides further confirmation. Including the names “Bird Studio” and “Toei Animation” in the image means that Dragon Ball will make its way into Fortnite.

According to the announcement, the crossover will start on August 16, 2022.. Epic Games may unveil the crossover on that day. However, as of right now, everything that will be featured in the event is still unclear. Epic did not disclose further details about the crossover. Players can anticipate bundles, character skins, and equipment. The announcement’s inclusion of Shenron may foreshadow upcoming alterations to Fortnite’s map or the introduction of limited-time game types. There could be a special limited-time event where players must collect six Dragon Balls and summon Shenron to make a wish. We can only wait for August 16, or possibly before, to be sure.

Fortnite is currently available on the PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
