Ubisoft’s universally acclaimed first-person shooter Far Cry 5 has officially joined the Xbox Game Pass family.

Far Cry has been one of those series that fans have longed for ever since Game Pass first came about. The good news is, well, its fifth chapter has finally come to light, with Game Pass opening its doors to the series for the first time since its inception.

Coined as the series’ most successful entries in the saga to date, Far Cry 5 takes the series to new heights, using rural America as an anchor point for its bullet-riddled narrative. As luck would have it, the action-adventure game now finds a new home on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One as part of the subscription-based platform.

“Welcome to Hope County, Montana, land of the free and the brave, but also home to a fanatical doomsday cult—known as The Project at Eden’s Gate—that is threatening the community’s freedom,” the game’s blurb reads. “Stand up to the cult’s leaders, Joseph Seed and the Heralds, as you spark the fires of resistance that will liberate the besieged community.”
