F1 Manager 2024

The freedom to create your own team and experience those nasty mechanical failures is just one of the few changes to look forward to in the upcoming F1 Manager 2024. It seems this new iteration is really going to rock the franchise’s boat and make the kind of massive waves we’ve been longing to see. But what exactly do we know about the story, gameplay, release date, and more? Stick around till the end of our F1 Manager 2024: Everything We Know article to find out.

What is F1 Manager 2024?

F1 Manager 2024 is an upcoming racing management simulation game. It’ll be the third entry in the ongoing F1 Manager series from Frontier Developments. F1 Manager has had two entries so far, all developed and published by Frontier Developments and based on the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, the FIA Formula 2 Championship, and the FIA Formula 3 Championship.

For the first time ever, the F1 Manager will introduce the freedom to create and build your own teams. It’s the most exciting change fans are most excited about, following in the footsteps of the series’ biggest rival, Motorsport Manager.

Story

We don’t quite know which cinematic motorsport story F1 Manager 2024 will tell. Granted, the prime focus of the F1 Manager series has always been the career mode. It’s, after all, a management simulation game. So, your goal will be to design your dream team, manage the budget for your team, and guide them toward success on the track. You’ll explore a new mindset system for staff and drivers. These will bring out varied personalities and demands, which you’ll strive to satisfy. Additionally, you’ll be on high alert for possible poaching by rival teams.

Gameplay

The biggest change that has fans on chokehold so far is the ‘Create a Team’ new mode. You can still choose one of the ten official F1 teams. However, you’ll now be able to create and build your own dream team, similar to the ‘My Team’ mode in most sports games. It’s high time Frontier Developments added My Team, with many players pouring excitement over the new mode on social networks.

With the Formula 1 season underway, you can expect all 24 races in the new game. Additionally, F1 Manager 2024 plans to feature new cars, Team Principals, and an improved F1 Sprint race format. Check out the key features to expect in the upcoming F1 Manager 2024 below (via the official website).

Key Features

  • Create a Team – For the first time in the series, create your own team to challenge the grid and forge a new legacy. Customize every element of your team, from your setup and livery design to your logo and racing suits. Recruit the right staff and drivers, and negotiate with sponsors for placement on your car.
  • Deeper Management – Keep your drivers and staff motivated using the comprehensive new mentality system and dynamic contract negotiations. Take control of your team’s facilities and focus on your driver’s development as you execute your vision. Improved rival team AI, including the new threat of staff and driver poaching, provides an unpredictable and dynamic challenge year-on-year.
  • F1 Races Brought To Life – Experience the thrills of an F1 race from a new perspective, with improved racing behavior and dynamic new cameras bringing the racing simulation to life. Devise a winning strategy for every race and give your drivers commands to maximize results, but be wary of mechanical failures disrupting even the strongest of strategies.

If the gameplay seems to come up a little short, don’t worry. Frontier adds that the three features above are only “a small slice of what’s to come in F1 Manager 2024.” The studio will keep sharing updates ahead of the eventual release this summer. In any case, your career mode is often where you spend a huge chunk of your time. Now, a massive improvement has been made to create a team from scratch.

Development

Developer Frontier Developments is currently working on F1 Manager 2024. They have worked on Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo before, each wildly successful in its own right. As a result, the studio won exclusive licensing for developing four Formula 1 video games. Unfortunately, the first two games have been a bust. Sure, the reviews have been generally kind, but less exceptional than Frontier Developments would have hoped.

It’s likely the reason for F1 Manager 2024’s cheaper retail price of $35 compared to F1 24’s $70. Also, the new ‘Create a Team’ mode raises expectations for a better entry. Here’s to hoping F1 Manager 2024 maintains the aptitude we know the studio to be capable of.

Good news! The F1 Manager 2024 announcement trailer is out now. It’s rather barebones with regard to story and gameplay. However, it does spike intrigue over a more personalized journey and the ultimate forging of a legacy you’re proud of. Hopefully, more in-depth trailers will come before the final release this summer.

F1 Manager 2024 is coming soon, precisely ‘this summer.’ We don’t have an exact release date yet, but Frontier Developments is keen to keep its fanbase in the loop via its official social channels here. Meanwhile, they’ve confirmed the game’s release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC platforms via Steam and the Epic Games Store. As for the editions, we aren’t quite sure yet which ones to expect. F1 Manager 2023 had two editions, the Deluxe and Standard versions, suggesting the new entry will likely offer the same. On the other hand, Frontier Developments says, “There's much more to share ahead of its release this Summer.” So, definitely keep an eye out right here on gaming.net, where we’ll be updating you on new information as they come up.
