5 Things We Want in Fortnite Chapter 4 (2022)

Published

 on

Even though Fortnite Chapter 4 is a long way away, we're already looking toward the game's future. Because as we know, Fortnite has been a constantly evolving experience, with new items and weapons being added and removed on a regular basis. To go with it, we've seen tons of unique items added to Fortnite from grappling hooks, Port-a-Rift, Boogie Bombs and so much more. It just goes to show that Epic's bread and butter appear to be coming up with fun and inventive ideas.

That not only goe's for weapons and items but the map too. Since the game's debut, we've seen Fortnite's map go through some rather drastic changes. Evidently, Tilted Towers was literally hit by a meteor strike at one point. All in all, what makes Fortnite great is that it's a constantly refreshing experience. That's why, with all aspects considered, these are the five thing's that we think would make for a great inclusion in Fortnite Chapter 4.

5. Bow and Arrow/Crossbow

To start off, one weapon we'd love to see brought back is not just the crossbow, but also the bow and arrow. Both of these weapons were tirelessly fun to use, as hitting shot's with them just felt so clean. Although at the same time, they took a decent amount of skill. Either way, they were a great backup weapon to have in your inventory, especially if you don't have time to reload. However, you could also main them to open up other inventory slots.

This forced you to use the exotic items because as an expert bowman, you'll need a few tricks up your sleeve. Playing this style made for a truly fun and exciting experience to combat, one that we'd die for the chance back. Plus, the time they were in the game was way too short-lived. Both of these weapons feel like they should be standard inclusions because they blend in seamlessly with the gameplay and, to be honest, make it more exciting and challenging.

4. New Map

Okay, we won't lie, Fortnite is pretty good at changing up their map. As we said, we've seen some pretty drastic changes to the map over the chapters and seasons. All of which have brought us different environments, some extremely unique as well. However, technically this is still the same map since launch. And since Fortnite is a game with so many possibilities, we don't think an entirely new map is a far stretch.

Actually, we feel it's long overdue. Even if Epic went for a smaller map on a more hectic scale, something like Rebirth Island in Call of Duty: Warzone. While we have had different game modes featured on smaller-scale editions of the map, a brand new one would bring a lot of excitement. What we really want for Fortnite Chapter 4 is a more compact map with more areas and fewer roaming hills and giant deserts, as running through these areas gets pretty tedious.

3. An Original Live Event

Fortnite Chapter 4

Epic Games has done an excellent job of creating some very captivating Live Events, with the most notable ones usually taking place at the start or end of the season. However, Fortnite's Chapter 3 season opener wasn't much more than a new years celebration. This is fair considering the Chapter 2 finale was on a pretty epic scale. But for the final of Fortnite Chapter 3 or the opener of Chapter 4, we'd love to have another outrageous live event.

These are one of the coolest things that take place in the game, as they tend to be highly engaging and set the hype around the chapter. Like with the Blue Cube (a.k.a Kevin) which had us constantly engaged to watch where he'd turn next and guessing what his purpose was. This also makes the weekly quest and our overall immersion feel more engaging. We don't have many parameters to what it should be, just as long as it has us on the edge of our seats.

2. More Animals to Ride

Fortnite Chapter 4

One of the more fun and exciting recent additions to Fortnite is Boars and Wolves. Getting to rip around on these animals and have the ability to still play and shoot makes for some exciting combat experiences and we'd like to see more of it. Now it may be a bit far stretched but if you could get a whole team riding an elephant or even just you on a Griffin in the sky, it would make for some really exciting fights.

This is an area that Fortnite really hasn't exploited as much as they could. And with Fortnite Chapter 4 quickly creeping up the horizon it could be time to do some play-testing with the idea. And let's be honest, we've seen more exotic ideas than this added to the game. That's why it's at least worth it to further explore what other animals could bring to the game for movement and combat.

1. More Collaborations

Fortnite Chapter 4

With every new season and chapter in Fortnite, comes a new collaboration. Meaning, that we've seen a ton of collaborations at this point, some duller than others. We've had Spider-Man web shooters and great comic-style Naruto skins. You could literally play as Thanos with the Avengers collaboration at one point. So, it's a given that we'll see more collaborations with new chapters and seasons, but we really want to see Epic stretch its wings heading into the future. Especially with other games as we feel there's a lot to offer.

Like if they did a collaboration with easter eggs or teasers for God of War Ragnarok or Starfield's release. You could even add some funny inclusions from other classic games like a Portal Gun from Portal, or some Halo-style weapons; that is if these devs are up for it.

Whatever it may be, there are a ton of small easter eggs and little inclusions that can still make the game more interesting. That's why we want to see epic step out of their comfort zone in Fortnite Chapter 4 and bring some really unique offerings with their collaborations. As we're a little tired of some constantly recycled and re-skinned collaboration ideas.
