The European Gaming Congress (or EGC) is a prominent event that brings together gaming industry professionals, regulators, operators, and other stakeholders from across Europe. It provides a platform for discussing key issues, trends, and challenges in the gaming sector. The congress also offers valuable insights into regulatory frameworks, emerging technologies, market developments, and responsible gaming practices.

Founded in 2017, the EGC has gained recognition for fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking opportunities. It has evolved into a celebrated yearly gathering, attracting influential speakers and attendees who contribute to shaping the future of gaming in Europe.

This year’s event is being held from the 30th to 31st October at the InterContinental Hotel Warszawa, in Warsaw, Poland. So, what can we expect from the event?

The Latest Developments in the Gaming Industry

The EGC covers iGaming in all of its forms. These include online poker games like Blackjack and Texas Hold’em, national lotteries, and sports betting (eSports betting on video games like Call of Duty, League of Legends, and Valorant is also rapidly growing in popularity). Recent developments like sweepstakes casinos are also covered. Also known as “sweeps casinos” or “social casinos”, these are becoming more popular. Sweepstakes casinos involve playing casino games like slots, poker, and roulette with virtual currency that can later be redeemed to win real money prizes. At the EGC, industry professionals like regulators and compliance experts from Poland, France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland the Netherlands, Italy, Greece, and the Nordics gather to discuss the latest developments in the online gambling industry.
