Tactics Ogre: Reborn

Square Enix has officially announced Tactics Ogre: Reborn after numerous speculations and leaks revealed that the game was in development.

Tactics Ogre: Reborn is a remake of the classic tactical strategy RPG Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together from 2010. Let Us Cling Together is also a remake of the SNES original from 1998 with the same title. The description from Square Enix, Tactics Ogre: Reborn, describes the game as “a massively enhanced edition” of the 2010 title.

“Based on the 2010 release, the game features improved graphics and sound, as well as updated game design, bringing to life a new Tactics Ogre that remains true to its roots,” reads the description on the official game’s website

Tactics Ogre veterans will experience a game that surpasses their fondest memories, while players new to Tactics Ogre will discover a game unlike any they've ever played. Reborn and deeper than ever, the game enables players to immerse themselves in the world and intrigue of Tactics Ogre like never before.”

Tactics Ogre: Reborn features new additions, which include high-definition characters and backgrounds based on the original artwork. The game will have an improved user interface with fully voiced dialogue. The developers have also remastered the soundtracks. Legendary composer Hitoshi Sakimoto has re-recorded the sound effects. Reborn appears to be an updated version of a classic video game while maintaining its primary gameplay.

The game will be available in both digital and physical versions. The standard edition will cost $49.99, while the Digital Premium Edition costs $59.99 on the PlayStation Store. Pre-orders are ongoing. Square Enix will release the game on  November 11 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
