Madden 24: Best Teams to Rebuild

Updated on

Although some of us enjoy taking our Madden 24 skills to the competitive online scene, others prefer what the offline modes, such as Franchise Mode, have to offer. Essentially, in this mode, you become the general manager of a team of your choice and must manage everything from player signings, contract extensions, draft picks, trades, and more. While choosing a standout team like the Kansas City Chiefs can make this mode easier, some of us prefer the feeling of winning the glorious Super Bowl on our own terms. In that case, you'll have to rebuild a team. But if you're not sure which team to go with, read on because we've got you covered with the best teams to rebuild in Madden 24 right below.

5. Pittsburg Steelers

Best Teams to Rebuild

While playing as the best team in Franchise Mode may be too easy, you may also prefer not to face the challenge of playing as the worst team. In that case, one of the best teams to rebuild is the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers have had a .500 or better record since 2003. This is quite remarkable, especially given that they should have dropped below that number in a few seasons, yet they still managed to pull it off. As a result, the Steelers are neither great nor bad. The most difficult challenge, however, will be maintaining their record for another year, as you don't want to be the GM who ends their 20-year streak.

Nonetheless, it's a fun challenge that doesn't set you up for failure. The Steelers have all of the tools they need to rebuild their team. They added Patrick Peterson and four new rookie defensive players this offseason. They also have TJ Watt, who will be the focal point of your offense. So, do you think you have what it takes to keep the streak going another year?

4. Arizona Cardinals

Best Teams to Rebuild

If you want a more difficult challenge than a team that is consistently above .500, look no further than the Arizona Cardinals. They finished the prior season 4-13, landing them in the league's bottom three teams. As a result, they're starting a rebuild stepping into this season. However, unlike the other worst teams in the league, they do have some star players to help with the rebuilding process.

Kyler Murray, their quarterback, is young and full of promise. They also have superstar safety and two-time Pro Bowler Budda Baker. As a result, you have two key pieces to work with. If you don't like either player, they have excellent trade value and can help you build the team you want. Nonetheless, while the Arizona Cardinals are in rough shape, they're still one of the best teams to rebuild in Madden 24 because they don't leave you scraping the bottom of the barrel.

3. Carolina Panthers

Best Teams to Rebuild

If the Cardinals are posing too much of a challenge, we don't blame you for not going with them. Instead, take a look at the Carolina Panthers. They finished 7-10 last season, so they're under .500, but they're not in a bad spot. In fact, because of the potential they have coming down the drain, they may be one of the best teams to rebuild in Madden 24.

The Panthers already have a strong defense, they're practically responsible for the team not finishing worse than 7-10 last season. Their offense, on the other hand, wasn't quite up to par. However, that will all change this season. During the off-season, the Panthers traded up to the first pick and drafted Alabama quarterback Bryce Young. In addition, they've acquired great new offensive pieces with receiver Adam Thielen, running back Miles Sanders, and tight end Hayden Hurst.

Therefore, the Panthers now have the team they need to make a playoff push, and because of so, are one of the best teams to rebuild in Madden 24. They have a ton of moving parts and, in general, have the potential to help a new GM have a successful first season.

2. Seattle Seahawks

Best Teams to Rebuild

The Seattle Seahawks are one of the best teams to rebuild in Madden 24 purely because of their trading potential. Last season, the Seahawks finished 9-8 and earned a spot in the postseason, largely thanks to their backup quarterback, Geno Smith, who took over at the loss of starter Russell Wilson. As a result, all eyes will be on Smith to have another outstanding season. Having said that, no one knows for certain. Therefore, you can put your faith in him, or trade him for someone you're more comfortable running your offense.

To supplement Geno Smith's trade value, the Seahawks have D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, two of the league's best offensive players. So again, you can stick with them, trade them with hopes of receiving another star player, trade them for draft picks, or whatever you're looking to do with your rebuild. In any case, if you want to have some fun with the trading market, Seattle has a lot of potential to assist you in building a great team.

1. Chicago Bears

If you want the biggest challenge of all, look no further than the last-placed team from last season, the 3-14 Chicago Bears. While they did sign D'Onta Foreman and T.J. Edwards in free agency this offseason, they don't have nearly as much trade value as the players on the other teams on this list. Their only hope is quarterback Justin Fields, who has shown promise, however, there is no guarantee his game will excel or if it has already plateaued.

Having said that, the Chicago Bears are one of the best teams to rebuild in Madden 24 due to their plethora of draft picks and young talent. This gives you the tools you need to help turn around the Chicago Bears in the next two to three seasons. It will still be a formidable challenge, in fact, it is the most difficult rebuilding challenge in Madden 24 if that's what you're looking for.
