Round8 Studio, the team behind the upcoming Souls-like ARPG Lies of P, has finally given it a release date. And what’s more, a one-way ticket to Game Pass, as it goes.

Yesterday’s Summer Game Fest brought us a lot of great previews, most notably the love letter to Bloodborne that is Lies of P, a gothic ARPG that’s loosely based on the story of Pinocchio. Turns out, the upcoming adventure will be heading to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam on September 19, 2023.

There’s a hint of good news for Xbox fans, too: Lies of P will be launching on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, meaning subscribers can get a head start on it the day it drops without having to fork over the full amount. In addition to its Game Pass debut, Lies of P has also revealed a short demo on each respective store, which will let players get a taste of what’s to come ahead of its September release. So, plenty to look forward to with this one!

What Is Lies of P?

“You are a puppet created by Geppetto who’s caught in a web of lies with unimaginable monsters and untrustworthy figures standing between you and the events that have befallen the world of Lies of P,” reads the Steam description.

“You are awakened by a mysterious voice that guides you through the plagued city of Krat – a once lively place that has been poisoned by madness and bloodlust. In our soulslike, you must adapt yourself and your weapons to face untold horrors, untangle the unfathomable secrets of the city's elites and choose whether to confront predicaments with the truth or weave lies to overcome them on the journey to find yourself.” Color us intrigued.

Has Lies of P caught your eye? If so, you can go ahead and download the demo for the game on the PlayStation Store or the Microsoft Store. For more updates on the game’s development, be sure to check in with Round8 Studio here.
