Infinity Strash: DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai

Dragon Quest is on a roll, with Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai fast-paced action RPG set to launch on September 28, 2023, and Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince spin-off title coming soon on December 1, 2023. Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai has spanned a franchise of its own, with over 50 million manga copies sold plus an acclaimed anime series. It’s an interesting boom to witness, all spanning from the Dragon Quest game series.

Now that the legendary Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai manga and anime is arriving as an action RPG in Infinity Strash, I can’t keep calm. So, after having scoured the internet for details on the story, gameplay, release date, and more, I’ve summed up all I could find in today’s Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai — Everything We Know article.

What is Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai?

Infinity Strash: DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai

Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai is an upcoming fast-paced action RPG based on the legendary Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai anime series, which is based on Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai manga, which, in turn, is based on the Dragon Quest series.

Story

Fans of The Adventure of Dai anime or manga will be well familiar with Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai. Triple trouble Dai, Popp, and Maam return on yet another epic adventure that recreates the series. But if you haven’t watched the anime, don’t worry. Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai is a self-contained adventure that should feel fresh and new to uncover.

Many years after The Hero saved the land, an evil rises to torment the world. Dai and his friends must master courage and sharpen their skills. All with the ultimate goal of killing the Dark Lord. In between, unexpected twists and turns unravel. Dai learns of a fate he can’t escape. With his friends by his side, he embarks on a compelling adventure that moulds him into becoming the true hero powerful enough to face the Dark Lord.

Gameplay

There are two game modes you can choose from: Story Mode and Temple of Recollection. Story Mode is, more or less, like the classic campaign structure of RPGs. Players progress through a plot that is infused with discoveries and fighting enemies along the way.

The gameplay will feature real-time combat. So, you’ll need to keep a keen eye on enemy advances while incorporating your wits to win.

Players will collect valuable items, too. These are called Bond Memories that double down to increasing your character’s stats and abilities, while also unlocking original scenes from The Adventure of Dai manga.

Temple of Recollection, on the other hand, is a procedurally generated dungeon. You’ll seldom explore the same place twice, with each area changing every time you jump back in. Throughout dungeon exploration, various monsters will pounce on you. Defeating them will earn you more rewards, plus unlock more powerful Bond Memories.

The deeper you trek, the more difficult the monsters become. At some point, it can prove hopeless, forcing you to retreat to the surface to recoup and garner more skills.

Development

Developers Game Studio and Kai Graphics are currently developing Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai. The game will draw inspiration from The Adventure of Dai manga and anime series. In fact, it’ll have a similar storyline depicting all 41 episodes of the anime. Further, the game will replicate the art from the famous anime and manga and redesign them, promising stunning visuals on current and next-gen consoles.

Infinity Strash: DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai | Release Date Trailer

Dragon Quest has released a new trailer that showcases a little more of what to expect from the new game. Long ago, the gods of the Dragons, Darklings, and humans put their godly heads together to create the ultimate hero, the Dragon Knight. He would have the strength of the dragons, the magic of the Darklings, and the heart of human beings. And nothing would stop him from reaching his destiny.

With just two words, “Avan Strash!” the Dragon Knight unleashes the might of his sword on enemies. He slings and slays all evil, leaving a flash of neon lights in his wake. On his side are two chaps, Popp and Maam, ready to sacrifice themselves for the greater good. An exciting journey lies ahead, and you can catch a glimpse of it here before it hits the stands.
