Five Nights at Freddy’s Movie Trailer Has Leaked Online

Updated on

A trailer for the movie adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy's has crept out of the casket roughly six months ahead of its on-screen debut.

Details surrounding the upcoming movie adaptation of Scott Cawthon's universally acclaimed Five Nights at Freddy's have been leaked early. But as it turns out, this now-deleted footage just so happens to answer that one all-important question that we raised back when it was announced. And that is, will it stay true to the video games, or will it just be another watered-down lookalike?

The short answer is yes, yes it will stay true to the lore. From what we caught of the trailer, the upcoming movie will follow a narrative similar to the first game — with a security guard unknowingly signing up for a night shift at the famed Freddy Fazbear's pizzeria. So, that'll keep die-hard fans of the franchise at bay.

Who Has Five Nights at Freddy's Cast?

Unfortunately, as the leaked video was somewhat sketchy, we can't say for certain what or who anything really is. That said, we do know that it'll star Josh Hutcherson as the security guard, and Matthew Lillard as William Afton, the series' primary antagonist. It'll also feature all of the key animatronics from the franchise, including Springtrap and Freddy Fazbear.

Five Nights at Freddy's will be coming to cinemas all over the globe on October 27th. You can also catch it on Peacock, providing you have an active subscription to the platform, that is.

If you're interested in keeping tabs on the movie, then be sure to check in with the social feed here. If anything changes ahead of its debut, we'll be sure to let you know the details right here on ganing.net.
