MATTER

The eagerly awaited release date of Bungie's IP “Matter” is just around the corner, as hinted at in its new documentary.

Bungie, who are the creators of the acclaimed Destiny franchise and the impending Marathon relaunch,  have hinted at releasing a new IP, which they named “Matter”. This new game may arrive sooner than we initially imagined. The secret project has recently been the subject of various reports, and we won't have to wait too long to explore this fascinating new world.

What You Need to Know About Matter

Matter is a game that was first introduced by Bungie in 2018 after undertaking the highly successful Destiny series and the much-awaited Marathon revival. Although there's limited information regarding the game, fans can't wait for its official launch.

Early job advertisements for Matter indicate that it will be another multiplayer action game. This was fantastic news for Destiny fans because it appeared like Bungie was using what it had learned from the success of that series to create something fresh and different, using the strong sci-fi franchise as a foundation.

Players were able to get a sense of what the game may be and what sort of post-launch support it would receive because Bungie was aiming to first hire devs with experience in live-service, F2P games, and MMOs. Matter would appear to have more of a character focus.

Job listings in 2020 provided yet another hint as to what Matters supporters may anticipate. It appeared like Matter had a very specific point of view that would further set it apart from titles like Destiny with intriguing phrases like “lighthearted” and “comedic.”

Words like “sword” and “dungeon” in one job description gave some gamers the impression that Matter might potentially have a fantasy RPG focus. Furthermore, it seems to allude to a looting dynamic like that found in games like Borderlands, which offers a wealth of intriguing potential and might turn Matter into an enjoyable online experience.
