Updated on

BAFTA Games Awards 2021 brought a whole lot of people together for its seventeenth showcase tonight. From all corners of the globe, developers, designers, artists and players have banded together to support an overwhelming year of gaming. And now, to celebrate the achievements of millions of talented studios, BAFTA has compiled a mouth-watering roster of teams with eighteen individual awards to dish out.

Of course, The Last of Us: Part II evidently cleared the house with the majority of the nominations beforehand. However, the BAFTA Games Awards served up a whole lot of surprises tonight, and we couldn't be more pleased with the results. But what do you think? Were these winners really “winners” in your eyes? Have your say over on the official chat boards here.

Well, that's it for another year. You can continue the journey by joining the after-party show on Twitch. Or, you can use @BAFTAGAMES on Twitter to submit your own views on the ceremony. Here's hoping we'll be treated to plenty of exclusive interviews and upcoming teasers in the second part of the show.

Of course, as always, we'll be keeping our ears to the ground should any juicy details come to light. In the meantime, however, we'll be sure to congratulate all of the winners from tonight's show as well as wish them the best of luck in their future endeavours.

Here's to another great year of gaming.

Jord is acting Team Leader at gaming.net. If he isn't blabbering on in his daily listicles, then he's probably out writing fantasy novels or scraping Game Pass of all its slept on indies.
