Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is the second project from developer A44 Games and judging from the game's cinematic trailers, this may be their biggest game yet. Here, players battle against an army of undead creatures emerging from the afterlife who intend to extinguish the living from the face of the world. 

To overcome this catastrophe, they will have to form alliances to create a strong army of their own. With the use of magic and gun power, they can ultimately put the enemy back from where they emerged. The game takes players through various challenging yet exciting experiences you don't want to miss. So as we eagerly wait for its official release set for early 2023, let's explore other similar games; those that provide both the same rewarding combat systems as well compelling gameplay. The game features a total of seven playable characters, but you can unlock more characters as you progress. Similarly, you can upgrade and level up your character with each cleared level. Access additional events even after the completion of the dungeon levels of Mount Morta that will take you back to the Bergson family home.

Evil Lands is an action RPG with a fun cooperative mode that allows you to team up with friends to battle mythical creatures. Your first task is to customize your character into the warrior you desire after choosing between three of the available character classes. Which include Stealthy Assassin, Beastly Warrior and Wise Mage; these determine the type of abilities your character will possess. Throughout your journey across this evil-ravaged land, you will face variant opponents with different levels of power; thus, you must constantly upgrade your skills and equipment to keep up. 

Among the many fun adventures that await you in Evil Lands include raiding, exploring fantastical environments, loot grabbing and more captivating quest activities. Let's not forget the dynamic game modes that include CO-OP and PVP, which work for all types of players. If you are not that much of a team player, you can explore solo missions, whilst those who enjoy company can form a team of heroes through multiplayer mode. All the other unicorns have been taken and cursed by witches, something that threatens the very existence of the elves' species. As a last attempt at salvation, your quest is to find and retrieve the last surviving unicorn; these unicorns are the key to elven immortality, thus the direness of the situation. 

The game features amazing locations with colorful visuals bound to mesmerize you. Not to mention the fantastic mythical creatures you will meet and fight along your way to elven salvation. As you move up through the game, you can level up your abilities, upgrade and acquire more weapons. You can also play a different character named Bior, a Viking with a different backstory and abilities; this way, you can choose which abilities to work with throughout the quest.

Immortal: Unchained is an action-adventure shooter game that adds a more scientific twist to its fantastical design. The Dark Soul inspired game focuses more on futuristic weapons as opposed to melee combat. All this while still following the plot and setting of the Norse mythology. The game features exciting difficulty levels that allow the engagement of all types of players. Thus the retention of basic close combat weapons such as axes, clubs and swords. The enemies you face have various weak points you can target for maximum damage. While some are typically located on the head, you may find others on the glowing points of their bodies. 

You control a Prisoner released from custody by a desperate caretaker in his attempt to stop the world's end. It is up to the Prisoner to find the source of the threat, which has unleashed an army of the undead to flood the world. All this while searching for his lost memories to help determine the Prisoner's real identity. Immortal: Unchained is one of the best games like Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, as it shares the same deep lore accompanied by hard-core action.
