Nintendo has announced a Splatoon 3 Nintendo Direct presentation coming later this week. The Livestream event will provide several updates regarding the sequel.

The presentation will focus on Nintendo's most anticipated 2022 game and will last for 30-minutes. The event will feature a pre-recorded video with updates on the game. You can watch the livestream on Nintendo's YouTube page.

This week's presentation comes just a month before Splatoon 3’s release on September 9. Many Splatoon 3 fans are looking forward to seeing more of the game in action for the first time since its announcement. Splatoon 3 has not had any solo broadcast since the announcement, and the last trailer was in April, when Nintendo revealed the release date. The presentation is the first substantial update for Splatoon 3 in a long time.

The event will take place on August 10 at 6 a.m. PT/9 a.m. ET/2 p.m. BST. What Nintendo plans to reveal in the presentation remains a mystery, as the announcement did not reveal any details. However, it's possible that new weaponry, maps, or even game types may be shown off. We can also expect to learn more about this new game's gameplay. The Live stream is over 30 minutes long, so there should be enough time for that.

The much-anticipated squid shooter has been getting plenty of information from Nintendo. The platform has already shown off a wide range of new weaponry, multiplayer locations, and features coming to the third Splatoon game. The game will feature the original's paint-and-swim gameplay. Nintendo also confirmed Splatoon 2‘s iconic “Salmon Run” game mode and many other fan-favorite aspects from previous titles for the newest title. In addition, players will experience “Return of the Mammalians,” a new story campaign.

Splatoon 3 will launch on September 9th, 2022, for the Nintendo Switch.
